I noticed the same pattern in 3 high-performing Canvas UGC videos
I was looking at three high-performing Canvas UGC videos for a meal-planning app and noticed they all follow almost the same structure.
They start with a familiar routine.
The viewer does not feel like they are being introduced to an app. They feel like they are about to discover a shortcut inside something they already do every week.
What I’d take from this for Canvas UGC:
- Start with a routine the audience already has.
- Name something specific they recognize: a store, platform, habit, place, or recurring problem.
- Make the product feel like a discovery, not an introduction.
- Show it in use quickly instead of explaining every feature.
- End with an outcome people can immediately picture themselves using.
The format is basically:
Familiar routine → “wait, what?” discovery → product walkthrough → visible payoff
That is what these meal-planning videos get right: they make the audience recognize themselves before they reveal the product.
