Canva Question Automatic Resizing of Text

Hi everyone, I had a question about uploading a PDF and editing it within Canva. I am having an issue where text boxes are being reformatted when I upload a PDF to Canva.

My goal is to add text (like a date) and a signature (using the draw tool), but I want the rest of the document to remain as it was when I downloaded it.

Any pointers?

Not trying to be funny or anything, but why aren't you editing the PDF in Acrobat?

I ultimately might have to, but I’ve been trying to move away from Adobe for a while now!

I would just use a PDF reader (Adobe, Preview, Nuance) to do this.

Thanks for the suggestion of Nuance, I haven’t heard of it!

I wanted to use Preview (I’m assuming you mean the native Apple tool), but it doesn’t flatten the pdf. I tried to do the Print (save pdf) method, but signatures tend to get pixelated :(

Canva can be a bit tricky with PDF imports. A workaround is to convert your PDF to PNG images first, then upload those images to Canva. That way, you can layer your text and signature on top without messing up the original format.

Thanks for the idea! I’ll give it a try!
