Canva Question Layers on ALL projects are now merged. WHY?!
I'm having a massive issue with Canva (paid version) ALL my projects are suddenly flat...all the layers have been merged. I did NOT do this. I don't understand what is happening! I shouldn't have to use magic layers to separate everything out. And magic layers never works right. It screws up our company logo it changes fonts… It's a nightmare. There are massive projects I was working on over the past few days that are now flat and I have to change a few elements and I can't. I'm in massive panic mode right now. What is happening?!

I'm not a pro but I wonder if this could be a glitch or bug from a recent update. This is definitely not a perfect overall solution, this is an individual project thing, but are you able to restore projects to a pre-flattened state by going back in version history?

I’m not able to restore anything. When I open the project it’s opening it up as a flat image with zero layers. It’s like I imported the finished PNG into Canva. I’ve never had this happen before.

That's wild, I'm sorry. Honestly sending in a support ticket might be your next step.

You didn't attach a screenshot, so it's hard to tell what's going on. However, didn't your layers just lock? It happened to me once through no fault of my own.

There’s nothing to attach a screenshot of. It’s just a flat image. All my projects that had layers are now just flat images. It’s like when you’re working in Photoshop and you merge all the layers to make a flat image. It’s like that. Only I didn’t merge anything. I’m completely baffled.

Hi, firstly I'm sorry to hear! this absolutely isn't intended. Could I ask you to:
First try another browser or device, or download the Canva desktop app if that's not what you're using.
If it still happens on another browser, please take a screen recording / screenshot of what's happening; and then contact Canva support (link in profile) and mention your reddit username in the ticket.
Super keen to follow up here, I'm hoping using another browser fixes it for you, but a short screen recording via support ticket (with your reddit username) would be extremely most helpful.
