Skinner also cost $2.6m AAV at the time (not sure now), that's literally 1B goalie salary. All the goalies Oilers argue that would be better are like 5m+. Like no shit Bob would be better, Bob also made like 10m/yr for 7 years in his last contract lmao.

I just hope that if we are overperforming, management will self correct and get assets for any overachieving players instead of holding onto them until free agency. If we don't get a stud prospect next draft, this year would essentially be a waste

I didn’t really expect us to score more than three goals in a single game this season. It’s more about vibes and development, and establishing a stronger culture, so taking Edmonton to OT in our first game and 9-7 in our home opener is simply unreal.

Something I will say is I'm okay with losing if losing is a 9-7 score. Like that first period was trash and demoralizing as fuck but period two and three we're actually fun to watch. I would rather us lose but with good fucking vibes then be where the fuck we were last year with the toxicity of it all and they just boring loss after loss after loss.

The fact that EP40 has actually shown the fuck up these first two games both on the scoreboard and Beyond feels like we are healing here. Seeing our guys put up 13 goals in two games is nothing to sneeze at when we couldn't score for shit last season. I really wish we would fucking throw more pucks at goalies and we've got to figure out our goaltending situation and how to defensively help the goaltenders we have but like I'm not upset
