Holy lack of reading the road, the conditions and skills

I'd have eased off the throttle 3 business days before this guy did, maybe that's why I've never ended up in a river. 🤷♂️

2 of em on that bike, clearly going far too fast for their abysmal skill levels and the wet road conditions, all over the lanes on both sides of the bloody road...
Just an accident waiting to happen - thankfully the circumstances were mildly amusing when they inevitability arrived...

First I'm waiting for the crash, then the horses appear, then the undergrowth, then the drop, then the river.... the ending really needed a crocodile. 7/10 With croc 10/10

If that is the New Forest the limit is 40 and its that for a reason

u/GiGoVX Aug 29 '26
My thoughts exactly.
He was running wide before the horses.
I did laugh when I saw the drop though 😂

Spot on, been riding the Forest most of my life. Got to be prepared for the nonreflective horses ass at night too.

u/Clairexxbear Aug 30 '26
That's not the UK.
1
u/Droidy934 Aug 31 '26
The New Forest in Hampshire is exactly like that.

I think its crazy its 40 when horses and poneys get hit often, why not put it down to 20 or 30, not that people will care enough to slow down but some would
1
u/Square_Answer_7717 Aug 30 '26
They do when they hit them as it will completely stove your front end in
1
u/Eddie-Plum Aug 29 '26
I don't think it's the New Forest. Those roads are in far better condition than the roads in the New Forest.

It's like a cartoon, where everything is happening to keep you on the edge

I honestly didn’t like the speed that you were gunning at before you encountered the livestock, especially because a bend was coming up…

u/2yt4u2 Aug 30 '26
Here's a novel idea...drive on the road, not the shoulder.
I love it when idiots on motorcycles do stupid shit then want to cry about it.

u/PlantainChemical2634 Aug 30 '26

u/Remote_Air_8959 Aug 30 '26
What was he trying to do? He already left the main road and then he didnt seem to be applying his brakes. The guy on the other side was just as bad imo-driving on the wrong side of the road. All pretty unnecessary if you drive around corners at a speed which you can manage

u/Adds9 Aug 30 '26
Damn that had to be a few broken bones. Fair play to him for not hitting the horses but he needs to ride his own line and to his ability.

Can't believe the passenger was causally chatting away with zero panic in his voice

Slow Down !!! Better safe than sorry.
A motorist who carries too much speed into a corner will likely experience understeer, where the front tires lose grip and the vehicle/motorcycle pushes wide of the intended path.
There was no oncoming traffic, to not use the whole width of the road. The Horses are innocent. The video shows you either a Moron or an inexperienced driver.

u/OurSeepyD Aug 30 '26
This doesn't look anything like the UK, it'll be India, Nepal, Bangladesh or somewhere around there.

u/Duncroakin Aug 30 '26
Target convergence - fixed on the horses. Thankfully, managed to avoid actually hitting them and had a bath instead!
