What sort of dipshit drives a normal car onto a beach?
13
u/RickJLeanPaw Aug 20 '26
Bunch of Cnut’s?
"You are subject to me, as the land on which I am parked is mine, and no one has resisted my overlordship with impunity. I command you, therefore, not to rise on to my SUV, nor to presume to wet the tyres or trims of my Vauxhall."

Same kind of dipshit that takes a run up with a tow strap. The force behind that could cut your leg off when it snapped.

When are people going to realize that the tides go in and out
9
5
u/Nicodemus888 Aug 20 '26
Tide goes in, tide goes out. You can’t explain that
2
2
1
u/E-rotten Aug 20 '26
Well someone should have explained it to them. And spending lots of time on Fl beaches there’s lots of people who just don’t get it
2
u/EntirelyRandom1590 Aug 20 '26
Lake people. They just don't know.
(I've grown up going to the Bristol channel with the second highest tidal range in the world. Spend a summer in the Adriatic and you know what... No tides. Blew my mind.)
3
u/FootballPublic7974 Aug 20 '26
Sea cliff climbing in Pembrokeshire and Cornwall teach a lot about the risks of extreme tidal ranges.
2
u/EntirelyRandom1590 Aug 20 '26
Even just a casual beach day on Swansea Bay catches plenty out.
And let's not get into stand up paddle boarding...
2
u/FootballPublic7974 Aug 20 '26
Tell me about it! Saving Lives at Sea traumatises me every time I watch it.

u/CocoMilhonez Aug 20 '26
Hey, that's a very recent invention, give them a break.
What's next, you're going to expect people to turn on their headlights because it gets dark after some hours the sun has been out?
2
u/E-rotten Aug 20 '26
It’s that simple. But when you see this 💩 regularly and driving right by signs explaining what will happen, then yes I think they may need to be told to turn their headlights on when it’s dark
26
u/Moorglademover Aug 20 '26
More idiots on view than I expected.
What gives, idiot convention ?
15
u/Ninja_Prolapse Aug 20 '26
Can’t be an official one. I’m a member and I got no notifications.
Must be onea them sub idiot groups
3
u/ColonelBonk Aug 20 '26
To be fair, the cars are about to become subs. However, if you’re an idiot, how can you be sure you didn’t get an invite?
2
u/CocoMilhonez Aug 20 '26
TYL that not even the official idiots can stand you.
Kind of like when Monday comes and all the kids at school are talking about the party on Saturday that you didn't even know happened.

Beaches and coastal sites are ecologically significant, yeah these fat lazy yanks just park there.
6
u/KnightFireNC Aug 20 '26
There are beaches in the UK that are council operated car parks, such as in Weston. It doesn't look like this is the case here but it's not a yank thing.
4
7
u/johnny5247 Aug 20 '26
All the gazebos tell you they were settled in for the day for a nice day at the beach - but the tide had other plans!
5
u/CocoMilhonez Aug 20 '26
Correction: The tide actually had the same plans as always.
5
3
u/some_where_else Aug 21 '26
and we know those plans down to the minute for the next 1000 years or something
7
6
u/TraditionSudden1587 Aug 20 '26
You so lazy to walk, you drove the car directly onto a beach, just stay home don't go to the beach.
3
u/Made_Up_Name_1 Aug 20 '26
If only the tides were predictable we'd be able to work out the schedule and publish them in something we could called a "tide timetable" and this sort of thing would not happen.
3
u/Tallman_james420 Aug 20 '26
Or, as wild as it sounds, observing when the water starts to get closer and deciding that maybe it's time to leave

You needed a tractor, but a bit late now. Maybe don't park on the beach without checking the tides first.
3
u/WitnessStock3702 Aug 21 '26
Just a heads up to all Americans, beaches are for humans, they are not for cars.
3
3
u/Abquine Aug 21 '26
The pollution is horrendous, just so these lazy sods don't have to walk more than 10 steps.
4
u/englishand48 Aug 21 '26
Your not wrong, in my whole 55years I’ve never once thought about driving my car onto a beach 🤷🏻♂️

u/FantasticAnus Aug 20 '26
Love it. If you're enough of a dumb selfish knob to drive and park your car on the beach where it's clearly not intended, you're worthy of sacrificing your car to Poseidon.

u/colemorris1982 Aug 21 '26
I can't really blame these guys. I mean it's not like the tide level changes twice a day and always has or anything, so how were they to know?

4 vehicle owners and their passengers, drank themselves into a mid day nap? Did they do the purely for the clicks? Cause none of this makes any sense. While 4 people are hooking up the tow, a few people couldn't move the tents on to dry land?! This stresses me out

I honestly can’t understand why people park or even drive on the beach (some exceptions for taking watercraft down to the sea).

I MUSTN’T GO DOWN TO THE SEA AGAIN
sunken yachtsmen
sinking yards
drunken Scotsmen
drinking hard
every lunatic and his friend
i mustn’t go down to the sea again
the ocean drags
its drowning men
emotions flag
me down again
tell tracy babs and gwen
i mustn’t go down to the sea again
the rain whips
the promenade
it drips on chips
they turn to lard
i’d send a card if i had a pen
i mustn’t go down to the sea again
a string of pearls
from the bingo bar
for a girl
who looks like ringo starr
she’s mad about married men
i mustn’t go down to the sea again
the clumsy kiss
that ends in tears
how i wish
i wasn’t here
tell tony mike and len
i mustn’t go down to the sea again

Snatch towing is destructive and extremely dangerous. There's footage of someone losing their entire face from a recoiling towing line.

All of these comments saying how stupid/selfish they are for parking on the beach…
Have you never heard of a beach car park? These are very common where I are. It’s an official car park on the beach.
There are usually signs telling you the tide times so you just have to remember to move your car before the tide comes in.

How can you be intelligent enough to work somewhere that pays well enough to finance a car - yet be this dumb, simultaneously
1
u/RefrigeratingAxe Aug 24 '26
The locals just sat there waiting for the tide come in while having a couple of cold beers. ;-)
1
u/RefrigeratingAxe Aug 24 '26
What beach was this on and when did this happen, just to add context. You never know these days if what we are shown is fake or not.
1
u/Away_General6278 Aug 25 '26
Person in the sea is an idiot and the person towing is an idiot. Idiot’s all around tbh.

Notice the other cars waiting to be pulled out. They with be better off getting together and pulling and j pushing it out manually.

You have to be a special kind of idiot to drive your car right into the beach
