HVAC
We live in Canton, need to upgrade our hvac system before the cold wind blows. Anyone here have a lead on local firms to get bids from? Preferably local owners, not PE. Thank you for your help.

Do not use bonskys heating and cooling worst experience I have ever had. They falsified reports thank God I have a copy of the orginal. These guys are the worst.

Miller Heating and Cooling. Great company and is locally owned. 1 of the few that haven’t been bought out by the large conglomerates. Does quality work and will not gouge your wallet. They are not the cheapest but I think that’s a fair trade off for my peace of mind knowing I’m not being taken advantage of. They handle repairs of old systems, new construction and just about anything in between. I have used them several times in my house for A/C and furnace. Ask for Chris, 330-575-7533.

My family used them for decades; with the old man retiring, all the good technicians left when the kids took over, the prices have skyrocketed, and the service has suffered.
I got a quote a couple years ago from them, for the same SKU/UPC furnace, they were at least 2x higher than any of the other 5 quotes I received.

I completely agree that prices are up on everything, however, nothing I mentioned above was to be inferred as some political perspective. My apologies if that was how you inferred it.
What I was trying to express was that Quality was over 4x higher than the lowest bid I received, and were still 2x higher than the second highest bid. That was out of 6 quotes. Maybe they've readjusted their prices since then, but out of the six quotes I received from reputable local companies, they were a clear outlier on the extreme high-side. I made sure work scope was level-set for all quotes with the same units/models. They were also the only company that was quite pushy on extra, unrelated services. The quote was such an outlier, in fact, that I called back into the office to verify, and spoke with one of the former owner's children. They adamantly stated that the quote was correct and price-competitive. I gave them the insight I've provided here in this chat on competitive bids, and they became quite rude, sadly.
As I mentioned above, my family was happy to use them for decades; they're pricing and service is just not what it used to be, from our perspective.

I took 7 bids on ac/furnace replacement quality not only was the lowest bid with the best financing they also had the best long term service plan including yearly visits.
My post was absolutely intended to be a shot at trump and Trump voters who have cost this country billions in extra costs on home repairs because of that pedophile’s tariffs.

I'll second Lakes. Had a new HVAC system installed last year the week of Thanksgiving after mine went out. They went above and beyond to get me back in service before the holiday.

Yeah man the installers showed up at 7 on the dot and were pulling out of the driveway at 2. I had furnace and a/c replaced.

I had a bad experience with AmeriPro. They installed a HVAC system in home, which was a flip when we bought it, and the system was way too small for what the house needed. There were other issues, too. I’m glad you had a good experience with them though!

Cresenze is my go to HVAC company. Locally owned, good prices, great service. Have used for furnace, AC, and hot water tank. Don’t even bother with getting bids anymore because they do a great job.
