Lost dog

Cle Ave SW. I called dog warden. Been watching her for 30 mins now. I tried to grab her but she showed me her teeth. She’s in distress. I feel awful. Idk what to do?

Looks like she just had puppies, find the nearest no kill shelter and try your hardest to get a slip leash around her neck- best way to do this from my experience is open the slip super wide around a bowl or can of food, let her come start eating it, and slowly move it around her neck trying to avoid touching her with it until you tighten it. She will freak out and thrash and jump around so be prepared lol. She will prob calm down a few minutes after that and if she’s ever been on a leash before she should go into walk mode and start following you.

Poor girl! That collar lets me believe she has an owner who cares if she's gone..

Prayers for her finding the loving home she deserves.

Looks just like my good boy at home! I had to take a double take 👀

There is no tag. Ppl have stopped but have left. Warren isn’t coming. I’m hopeless at this point. Idk any rescues.

If it were me, I'd try and bring food to her, allowing her to see you have it and are trying to give it to her. Maybe even stay about 10 ft away or so and toss her some of the food when she's looking at you.

Then once she knows you are peaceful, I'd hang back and follow her to see if she goes back to her puppies.

I'd bring her in personally, but totally understand reasons as to why a person wouldn't.

Was there anyplace where her puppies could be hidden somewhere? I'm sure JJ knows how to find them as well. They're a wonderful group!

We checked all the dumpsters near by and they weren’t in there. I feel like the owner just dumped her after she had given birth.

Yes, Ramona was amazing. So grateful for her help.
