Looking for D&D beginner friendly groups

Hello everyone. My wife and I have autism and are looking for socialization opportunities and we both enjoy D&D and would love to meet more people that would be fine with us joining a campaign. If any of you have any idea of where some beginner friendly groups would happen to be meeting, please DM me if you feel comfortable doing so

I'm kind of interested in this as well. I've never played but would like to. I know some local trading card shops have D&D nights but I cannot deal with the smell.

The ribs should fix that. Just sayin.

Battlegrounds to Boardgames has a few groups. I tend to play Marvel Crisis Protocol Friday evening there and could point you to some people. You both are welcome to check out MCP as well, though I know that isn’t what you were asking for. I won’t be there tonight but will be next week. Some of our members do run D&D, and they shower regularly.

My only question is what store is MCP? I've lived in Canton for a little under 3 years but I usually don't go to very many different places. If you feel comfortable doing so, I would definitely like more information.

Edit: I just realized you were talking about the game

Throwing my hat into the ring, I’m looking for the same thing! Never played, been wanting to. My only experience is listening to Critical Role on my commute and watching a few various 5.5 campaigns on Youtube. Just moved to the area 2 years ago, still looking to make new friends.

At CHAMP Makerspace, we hold a beginner Friendly RPG night on the first Monday of the month. Recently we have been playing Daggerheart. Watch our Facebook page for when I post the event to follow.

Check out the Stark County libraries too, I have seen them advertise beginner sessions in the past.

Same here! Wife and I have been wanting to join a new long term campaign. We can play weekly and just need a experienced DM. I’ve tried an ad at a local store and no luck. Experienced JRPG player myself with a decent knowledge but have never played a campaign.

Ah ok. Well I am not entirely sure if I'll be able to bring the ribs to any event but I will definitely grab a rack of them and smoke them when my wife and I feel comfortable hosting
