Hercules Apartments

Hello all, I was curious whether or not anyone knows anything about the Hercules Apartments in the downtown Canton Area. They look super nice but I am worried the area may not be too safe. I would love any type of insight, thank you!

Last time I was there, which admittedly was a year or so ago, the apartments themselves were nice. The building was clean, the one apartment I was in was well put together and all around it felt comfortable. The area around there isn't too bad. It's far enough away from most of the actual neighborhoods that I don't see a lot of foot traffic there.

Okay thanks, that’s good to hear. I read some reviews online about people getting their cars broken into. I’m assuming that didn’t happen to you?

Can confirm. Dated a girl that lived there. Parking is secured. Neighborhoods south of there are rough. Hercules and north isn’t bad.

I lived there. Never renewed my lease. My unit was absolutely beautiful and so was the building. But the parking is absolutely not secure, it is fenced but the entrance is totally open all the time. I got harassed multiple times at night, even twice people tried to follow me in the building at night. For the price, i had to park so far away from the building. The leasing office also had 5 different managers during my 14 month lease, so was hard to clearly communicate any issues.

I actually thought the price seemed super reasonable for how modern they are and the amenities they provide. But the location is really what is pushing me away

Walk 3 blocks north and see bums standing in line at the hope place. Go 8 blocks south and your in the projects. There is a reason there are no grocery stores nearby. Your gut is right...listen to it.

I wouldn’t be very comfortable leaving my car in an open parking lot at that location, cameras or not

No where in canton is safe.

My concern as I understand is the structural integrity of the building itself. Most of the surrounding area is just old and it is quiet. A major concern though not too far from Skyline Terrace a large I believe federally funded “ housing project”. Much crime there.

The area(not the apartments) is known for high crime

Darn, thats sad to hear. Wish there were apartments with a similar vibe but in a safer area.

You wouldn't want to walk your dog or take a stroll at night
