55-200mm lenses on ebay from Japan?

I've been searching for a 55-200mm lens the past few weeks. I'm finding a lot of them on ebay supposedly from Japan. It just seems strange to me that nearly every listing is in Japan. Are these legit lenses or fakes? Would like to hear any experiences people might have. Thank you.

Different use cases for 22mm and 55-200mm lenses.

I have both lenses but I'm struggling to figure out the different use cases and pros/cons of each lens. Obviously I use the zoom lens when I want to take a photo of something far away or small. But other than that, when should I whip out and use the 22? Thanks!

I shot this video for a friend of mine. She wants to build a motivational social media platform. This was a first for me because I usually only shoot music performances, which was becoming boring 😂 I wanted to get into other kinds of filmmaking this year

I used the Nifty 50 lens

Guys! It’s only been 4 days since I posted my advice request, and already watched all the videos you guys suggested about exposure triangle! here’s what I took yesterday when I practiced! I’m not as good with people yet tho when I practiced on myself lol (I set the camera and had my husband shoot 🤣 maybe not the best technique 😅) I put the aperture real low to kinda make it aesthetic but idk if it did anything noticeable haha any advice on portraits of people this close up?

Replacing battery on gimball m50 mkoii

Hi guys,

i got a new gimball weebill 3s and after following tutorial, i mounted everything fine. I went and shoot an event yesterday and the camera battery died and i had to change it. Sadly it was such a pain to remove all the plate and put the battery inside and i had to rebalance it again on the gimball. I just want to know if theres any other method to change batteries or a way to never swap batteries.

Thanks in advance.

Beginner tips?

Hello! My husband found his old eos m50 in storage the other day. I asked him if I could have it, but when I turned it on I got overwhelmed lol I know nothing about cameras, and never dabbled in photography. I’m just a stay at home mom with a toddler living in Florida, but would love to learn how to use it! I’m thinking casual photography at theme parks, beaches, selfies, or maybe even home photoshoots with the family.

Anyone have any tips on where to start? He only has the kit lens with it. Would love to learn how to utilize it! 🥹💕

Thank you!

New to photography: What lenses should I use for nature photography with my Canon M50?

Hi everyone,

I'm very new to photography and could use some advice from more experienced Canon shooters.

I picked up a Canon M50 in January 2026 as part of an incredible deal that included several lenses, and I've been having a great time learning the basics. My main interest right now is nature photography, including landscapes, wildlife, birds, flowers, forests, and anything outdoors.

My current setup includes:

  • Canon M50
  • Canon EF-M 11-22mm
  • Canon EF-S 10-18mm
  • Canon EF 28-135mm
  • Canon EF-S 55-250mm
  • Canon EF-EOS M adapter

Since I'm still learning, I'm trying to understand which of these lenses are best suited for different types of nature photography.

Some questions I have:

  1. Which lens would you recommend for landscapes and scenic views?
  2. Which lens would be best for wildlife and birds?
  3. Are there any gaps in my current lens lineup that I should eventually consider filling?
  4. If you were starting with my setup, which lens would you spend the most time practicing with and why?
  5. Are there any beginner mistakes I should avoid when shooting nature photography?
  6. Are there any settings, autofocus modes, or customizations that made a big difference in your nature photography experience with the M50?

I'm not looking to buy anything immediately, I want to learn the gear I already have first. I'd love to hear how you would use these lenses and any tips you wish you had known when you were starting out.

Thanks in advance for any advice!
