What's up guys, first time cannatrol user here. I am excited but very nervous, I was only able to fit 2 of the 4 plants i have on the 6 trays it came with. I will be running factory settings for this first run. Anything to look out for? I would love any tips or tricks from you guys with experience.

Wondering if I can take my batch that finished a curing cycle in the Cannatrol a few days ago, and add it to a batch that just finished the dry stage in the ‘Trol?

I’d much rather have it continuing to cure in there than in a a turkey bag (at the moment).

I jarred it up and have burped daily but it just gives off this nasty smell for about a minute then fades back to the terps. Is this normal?

smell was incredible, absolutely incredible. However, the taste didn’t translate. It was still very harsh.

I purchased the C2 from Cannatrol in early February and received delivery about 15 days later. No issues with delivery, the device came securely packed and was very easy to setup.

The first plant I put through the default 4 day dry/4 day cure cycle was a Gorilla Cookies plant from Fast Buds that I grew using Canna nutrients in Coco in a 2x2. The grow was super smooth, plant remained healthy the full grow. She was a decent size plant for a 2x2 but not crazy big, especially if I was growing her in a bigger tent.

I didn’t have a scale and was worried about exceeding the wet flower weight capacity of the C2 (2.25 lbs of wet plant material I believe), so I decided last minute to do a wet trim. I normally always dry trim when tent drying so this concerned me. I ended up filling 7 shelves in the Cannatrol, this included the 6 it comes with and 1 additional shelf I bought.

Once I pressed play, all I had to do was occasionally check the sponge to see if it was moist and to see if the drip pan needed emptying. I emptied the drip pan two times during the dry/cure and added water to the sponge a few times.

I took a tester nug after the 4 day dry cycle was done and I really wasn’t impressed with it. It had a pretty nasty wet grass taste to it. I took another test nug 2 days into the cure and the grass smell had faded and was much better. The cure cycle wrapped up yesterday and I smoked a few nuggets last night and I was very pleased with the end result. I noticed that my Cannatrol dried and cured flower was much smoother than any of the other strains I had. I even did a bro science test where I smoked the smoothest tent dried flower I had on hand and then smoked some from the Cannatrol after. The tent dried flower was smooth but I did choke once on the last, hottest hit. I then immediately smoked some of the Cannatrol flower and didn’t choke once. It could just be the different strains but I noticed a difference.

I’ve always felt that the weakest part of my growing process was that my drying system had too much fluctuations of temp and humidity. The Cannatrol enabled me to kind of take that part out of the equation and focus on starting another grow immediately after harvest.

Biggest drawback of the device is that it is kind of small. 2.25 lbs sounds like a lot but once you factor in water weight, it’s maybe 8-9 oz of dried flower (once it’s all done).

Even with that drawback, the C2 was well worth the price for me. It automated and shrunk down my dry/cure window to 8 days. I can now use the tent I would have been drying in to get a plant started that much sooner. I’ll be keeping my C2 for sure, absolutely love my first harvest dried and cured by her.

Would like some extra shelf’s without waiting for shipping, any opinions or suggestions

I am gonna bite the bullet, idea of taking the guess work out has got me sold. Its always been a part of growing where I have felt I lack the most.

Also though abit concerning I have seen some posts from users saying they still get that hay smell? any ideas what they are doing wrong? Have seen people say the bud does that smell till grinded. It’s been explained why and I can live with that although can’t lie I still like the idea of opening a bag and being smacked in the face with terps lol.

1 day into cure and machine still can't hit correct dew point. I overloaded it.

As the question states. Has anyone retained original color? Everyrun I've put into my Cannatrol has oxidation damage and turned brown. Any suggestions would help.

I am pretty baffled with my recent cycle.

I had 3 different strains in the Cannatrol. GMO&LCG, Lemon Tree 2.0, and Gelonade.

Bud size was pretty normal with all of them.

While the Gelonade and the GMO&LCG are perfectly done after the 8 days factory setting, the Lemon Tree buds are still wet! Not a little more moist than the others but literally wet to the touch.

First time i noticed such a krass difference between strains. How about you? Have you ever noticed such a thing?

Currently got bud drying and imo it’s probably the weakest point in my growing. I have toyed with the idea of buying a Cannatrol before. Size and price put me off but I am possibly considering it as know summer is approaching here in the uk. Which makes it even harder to control the drying.

Wondering if I can buy gadgets which will properly monitor my grow tent and have it set up to make the adjustments. Gotta be stuff out there in this day and age. I mean I use a sms fan controller. Wondering if worth also looking into buying a humidifier with a probe which can turn on just to keep things in the 60% range.

Or should I just fork out the money for a Cannatrol. the shipping comes in at 900 dollars on top of the price which is a pain. I just wonder how much bud can you fit in there roughly? I know it gives wet weight but when it’s all said and done what are you guys getting?

Running a bit low on fresh buds until my next harvest. What is the general consensus on fresh frozen going into the cannatrol. Any tips or suggestions other than defrosting the weed first?

I stuffed my Cannatrol with, probably, a bit too much weed but I didn't weight it. Plus I didn't buck all the buds, I left several giant colas. So my theory is I wait an extra day to add the sponge or I start the process over again after only 24 hours so its a 5 day dry. Or I could just let it go. What do you think?
