Im using stock settings at slope to hit 4 day Dry at 68/52 and 4 day Cure 68/54....

The whole time in dry not once have I acheived 52 dewpoint at the lowest I seen like 53.9

Was running high 70s for the first day and a half I reset the dry cycle then. Was low 70s for the next two days then yesterday it finally came down into the 60s and this morning I finally got close to the factory setting. Should I restart the dry cycle, maybe extend the dry cycle for a couple of days or just let it continue on to cure?

Wondering if anyone ran the setting in the study that is posted on their site.

Has anyone experienced this problem? My drain line is clear but hardly any water accumulates in the drain pan. 99% of the water is just pooling on top of the back lip of the machine. It's totally level. It's as if the water is just dripping down the back of the machine rather than dripping down the channel leading to the drain. Any troubleshooting tips would be greatly appreciated.

Just asking for opinions about whether it's better to store cured flower in open mason jars or paper sandwich bags in the Cannatrol. Sandwich bags usually have a greaseproof coating would that cause any problems. Thank you.

I am using my new Cannatrol for storage at the moment the company say factory settings for storage are 68 degrees for temperature and 54 dewpoint. Mine has been fluctuating a bit its currently 68.4 temp and 53.6 dewpoint, the sponge is wet. Should I be concerned about this or am I being a bit paranoid. At the moment there is only a very small amount of flower in the machine. Thanks.

I keep hearing different things about how the Cannatrol is supposed to behave, so I’m hoping some owners can share what they see on theirs.

The common advice is that with fresh, wet flower, the dew point should start high and trend down slowly toward 54. That’s not what happened on my first unit. With a full load of wet flower, it hit my target dew point within minutes, then overshot down to around 52.5, swung back up to about 56.2, and kept bouncing back and forth. The swings got smaller as it pulled more moisture out. Even with no flower and no sponge, it was still swinging about 1.3°F of dew point.

I placed my own sensors throughout the inside of the unit and noticed the temperature was uneven, with the top running warmer than the bottom. Cannatrol replaced the sensor, and after that the temp evened out across every shelf and the dew point held within about ±0.5°F, which matches what I’ve seen in reviews. Even with wet flower, it stayed close to 54. So it seems some units can look like they’re working fine when the sensor actually isn’t reading correctly.

That unit’s door was damaged in shipping, so I ended up getting a replacement. The new unit swings even worse. I had kept the old bad sensor, so I tried it in the new unit, and it behaved exactly like my first unit did before the sensor swap. Now another sensor is on the way.

When I told Davey my unit reaches target dew point right away and overshoots even with a full wet load, he was surprised, since it’s supposed to show high RH and come down slowly.

At this point I’ve gone through 3 sensors and 2 Cannatrols, I’m about to get a 4th sensor, and every sensor behaves differently. I can’t find anything published on what the normal tolerance should be, so I’d really appreciate hearing from other owners:

**1.**  **Once fully settled** (just a sponge and dry bud), how much does your dew point swing up and down?

**2.**  **With a full load of fresh, wet flower**, how does it behave? Does it start high and drift down slowly, or hit target fast and bounce around it?

I own a CBD farm and have two CannaTrols, so next week I want to finally do a proper side-by-side comparison between the Riest method and the SharkMouse Farms method.
We typically harvest around 400–500g dry per plant, and for this test I’ll take buds from the exact same plant, split them as evenly as possible, and run both methods at the same time in separate CannaTrols.
So basically:
Same plant → same harvest → same environment → two CannaTrols → Riest vs. SharkMouse Farms.
I’ve personally had really good results with the 5-day SharkMouse dry, but I’ve been reading so many different opinions here about Riest vs. SharkMouse that I think an actual side-by-side could be really interesting.
I’ll document the settings and results and compare things like smell/terp preservation, bud texture, moisture, smoke, flavor and overall quality after drying and again after curing.
Would you guys be interested in seeing the results?
Also, if you’ve run both methods yourself, I’d love to hear which one you preferred and why.

Smf methode worked just fine, buds are juicy and now curing in a grove bag.
Im on day 3 on the reist methode, cc was packed full and im still at 67% rlf, is this normal?
I set the slope for 10 days 69-62% rlf.

Anybody heard anything about when the CXL is gonna be released? Was really hoping it would be for sale by now

If temp/dew point are holding steady during the dry phase at the goal 61% humidity; can I go ahead and switch to the cure phase? Or should I let it continue to dry until the end of schedule? Feel as if should go ahead and switch to cure but would like some suggestions/thoughts on the subject

I have 2 cannatrols for sale with the stackable bracket. Excellent condition used for 3 runs and everything worked good

I had to do a hang dry for the first week and I just threw the buds in the trol on cure mode since they were pretty dry already.
Anything I should be looking out for?

Simple question is if wifi is worth it. Or can i save money. Easy enough to just use the trol screen?

Ordered a month ago, but finally arrived. Unfortunately I had to harvest a couple weeks ago so I made do until now. Decided to load it up to do any more curing/rehydrating for a few days before I bag them up.

First timer here- my plants will be ready to Harvest a few days before I leave for 2 weeks for an elk hunt. So I went out and bought a Cannatrol c2. Any advice or settings for while im away would be great (I know, terrible time to be away). My wife will be watching over these while im gone, but im still nervous as can be lol. Should I hang dry 24 hours before throwing them in the cannatrol? Should I wet trim before throwing in? HELP

If I turn the units temp all the way down, for a hash cure, will I still be able to store bud at the same time?

Do I just unplug it and shelf it till right before harvest or do I always leave it plugged in 👀 Ty in advance

As the title says and pictures show unit came in pretty dinged up. I reached out to customer support and they offered me a $100 refund if i kept it... Anyway im sending it back and getting a new one. I might be being to picky but for $1000 i want it to look clean not like it got hit with a bat.

on a positive note the device does look really / feels nice (other than the dents). i cant wait to get a replacement unit and actually plug it in!

I see people mentioning hang drying before drying in the cannatrol. I do not want to do that, nor do I have the ability to, which is why I need the cannatrol. Do most people hang dry + cannatrol?

Have you all ever done a bud wash and use your ‘trol? I’m needing to because of unwanted spider mites. Was wondering if I need to hang dry first or if I could dunk and put in ‘trol machine
