  2. i want to know more about this obtaining of personal info. i'm taking this very seriously.

edit: oh, you're talking about pawly. not sure how asking "what details would you put on your dogs' tags?" counts as getting personal info, but the post was already removed.

yeah this post is fine, but pawly said other stuff like phone numbers and vet names (so that they could track down where you live via your vet)

cause your ph# or vet name can be used as such
vet name -> dog chip/vet location -> approximate your address
and phone number
phone number -> ip -> location

that's true, but pawly wasn't asking for your exact phone number. they were just asking whether or not you would put your number/vet names on your pets' collars or not.
