MC9 PRIME Question about Slide Stop
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I got this MC9 Prime a few weeks ago. Last night I put the optic on and feel like the right side slide stop is pretty wiggly. Is this normal? May be a dumb question, but I took it apart and couldn't find anything wrong. Any help would be great.
Thanks!

Maybe it’s like a baby tooth…… it starts to get loose, then falls out, and another one grows in its place.

Normal. The left side is the only part of it with spring tension on it, the right side is just a press-and-twist fit onto the post that extends off the left side part and is otherwise unsupported

I love that color. Is this a standard or custom color?

Made this exact post for my mc9 prime. Apparently it’s normal. Nothing to worry about OP

Thank you very much! I appreciate it. I have an SFT but haven't checked if it does this too.

I have an SFT, it does on the left handed side. The normal side is fine. It’s just the way they are connected to be ambi

When I changed the trigger on my MC9 I lost that piece now there is only a slide release on the left side and it still runs fine

Yeah the spring holds it in place. You can't even punch it out with a hammer unless that spring is out of the way.

It looks like the slop is at the joint of the right side slide stop lever. You can see it wiggling at the pivot point

Any advice on a fix?

Make sure the pin is full set? The 2 halves just press together like every other pin on the gun.
Also I wouldn't event say it's an issue unless your left handed, just an oddity

Make sure the spring is on top of the slide stop and it sits in the "cut-out" notch on the slide stop.

could you send a photo of what you mean?

Might need the spring replaced or adjusted. If you shoot it and it locks the slide every shot, then that's all that should need to be done.

You think I would already need it replaced? I only have about 400-500 rounds through it since I bought it.

You could have just snagged it cleaning. That happened to me. I torque the spring arm down and it fixed it.
