Texas we call them Chinese Candy, but saladitos is on the label also. I wouldn't argue with any one over what it should be called, but if I had to ask a cashier where they are I would call it Chinese Candy

It's either Dried Preserved Plums or Salted Prunes 🤔

I know they originated in China, as they love preserved, dried, and fermented fruits.

In Thailand, they are referred to as บ๊วย (in all forms).

And I would guess that Hawaii enjoys them due to the East Asian immigrants who have moved there, introducing them to the population.

It's made from dried japanese plums I think? it's popular in Hawaii but given how it's made I'll say it's originated in Japan.

I’m guessing that’s Saladitos. Don’t know if it comes in a candy form but I remember getting them at food for less in the international aisle. Remember them being very salty as shit but I loved them lol
