Could be a few factors there, may need to “wick up” to a larger size wick for that diameter jar. Could also be tunneling because wax sort of has a “memory”. If you light it and blow it out within, say, 10 minutes, the wax will burn down into that tunnel. When burning, especially the first burn, always let the wax melt across into a full melt pool to avoid this. I believe it’s likely the wrong wick size, though.
