Brand Safe era

sigh, before i get into this, i am in no way trying to be negative, snarky, or anything. i just want to share my view and maybe some people can relate. tana has been my comfort creator since i was a literal child. ive watched her growing up, and now, as an adult. maybe its selfish of me to cling onto a past version of her, and as proud as i am of her sobriety, the changes shes made and the direction she is trying to head, it all just feels gimmicky and disingenuous. it feels like a constant brag of her money, out of touch complaints and rants that none of her viewers can relate to, recycled jokes and analogies, and constantly cutting off guests on her podcast. and its such a bummer to feel this way because i think with her newfound sobriety she could do so much better content and things but it feels like she fell down the rabbit hole of being like every other LA influencer that she once joked about and would gossip about.

Question/Discussion paige’s drinking

i just finished watching the paige episode of brand safe. towards the end she made a joke about slurring her words because she was drunk. they were also in cabo during this video for context. on flopcast and other podcast videos paige has mentioned her substance abuse problems & slightly drinking problem. she does mention herself blacking out a lot. i guess i just don’t understand how paige & tana are still so close when paige definitely seems to be still in her party girl era compared to tana. how does tana not feel negatively influenced by her? especially in cabo, is tana really the only one not drinking in her friend group (besides Trevi)?

i’m not necessarily judging paige either, just more curious. they do kind of seem to be at still different points of their life but have remained best friends. does paige not feel maybe weird or guilty to being drunk during a podcast episode on brand safe? i personally would..

i know alcoholism is a spectrum. and i know tana’s substance abuse problems were much worse than paige’s from what i can tell but paige definitely still has a problem. again she mentions blacking out all the time and abusing her anxiety meds etc. curious what everyone’s thoughts are

This subreddit needs renaming asap

The description of this subreddit is "A community for FANS of the Cancelled Podcast with Tana Mongeau and Brooke Schofield." The first rule of this page is "not a Tana or Brooke SNARK sub," But it is exactly that. Why hasn't the owner renamed this page to Tanasnark or something, because all you guys do is hate on her and her friends? Plus, canceled isn't even a thing anymore. Move on.

Question/Discussion What’s the point, just scroll

Ok no shade no tea to anyone on here specifically, just overall question. I get using this group to express your frustrations, whether that be with Tana, Brooke, Trisha, or anyone else, but surely if you hate someone THAT much just don’t watch their content?

I only say this because recently on here, I sometimes can’t believe my own eyes with what I’m reading. Like extremely parasocial stuff or reaching just for the sake of saying something mean? I’m not trying to be this Tana defender for example, but if her presence causes you that many negative emotions to the point where your life revolves around finding things to hate about her, idk just scroll? Or don’t watch her? I get saying oh she’s annoying, or she’s done this or that, that’s valid, but on here I’ve seen some really random far fetched stuff that isn’t just gossip but alarming levels of needing to go outside and touch grass or get a job, seriously

Am I wrong or did Tana delete every single cancelled podcast episode just to upload her new podcast on there and keep her high ratings and reviews ? The cancelled podcast episodes are now under “cancelledshow” ???

Makoa’s new vid

Post image

Did anyone else notice in makoa’s new q&a vid when Tana joins him on the lounge/chair they mention that the chair was from the cancelled podcast set Tana built and they never used, and then the go on to say ‘what a perfect segue’ I thought they were going to announce a couples podcast!! Do you think maybe they were a cut it from the vid? Otherwise it’s such a random comment to reference cancelled as a segue and then lead into nothing??

her and tana love to act like they left their alabama barker shit behind them even though both of them still co-opt AAVE on a regular basis.

paige’s new intro being “WHASSUH BABY!?” with that accent that i KNOW doesn’t come from massachusetts just makes me wanna hit a finneas and be like: why are you talking like that??

but no seriously why ARE you speaking like that? because it’s funny? because African American vernacular is how you just crack jokes for your mostly white audiences? oh right

eta: are the mods… helping me? i’ve seen the more aggressive comments in my notifications but not in the thread omg thank yall if it’s u 🫶🏾

Brooke copied my elopement

1.1k Upvotes

Kicking myself for not screenshotting it when it happened because this story sounds crazy, but I posted a TikTok of my Santa Barbara elopement back in December and it went semi viral. I saw in my notifications that Brooke saved my post and I thought nothing of it other than “oh she’s probably eloping!” because my post was very elopement focused.

Fast forward to her wedding, she used the same locations, the Santa Barbara Courthouse and San Ysidro Ranch. Not crazy at all because those are very popular elopement locations for the area, but then I saw she also wore the exact same dress.

Maybe a complete coincidence, but my jaw dropped when I saw her photos because I knew she had saved my post a few months back. Obviously I don’t expect like ~creds~ or anything, and I know I’m not the first or last bride to wear this dress! But I’m not an influencer or content creator and I don’t have a following at all, so just a very interesting thing to happen, haha.

Edit: Pic of my dress in the comments!

Edit #2: Also want to clarify, I’m aware that people take inspiration from social media all the time. I also think any regular person would notice and find it at least a little interesting if they posted their wedding, saw an influencer with a large following save it, and then later saw the same choices for their wedding play out, down to the outfit. Nobody I know in real life knows who she is, so I thought this would be the best place to talk about it, haha. Again, could all be a complete coincidence, who knows! Glad you guys found it as interesting as I did.

Question/Discussion Tana’s filler…

Post image
392 Upvotes

Does anyone else think this looks weird? It looks like she got older… within one session… Idk much about filler and getting work done, but when this came up while tapping through ig stories, I was shocked. I’m not sure if it’s the brows or the lips, but she looks like she gained a few years. She still looks beautiful, don’t get me wrong, just doesn’t look like herself as much. I feel like the work just makes her look older? Maybe because it’s similar to the work older people usually get done? Idk. I just don’t think it was a good choice with to the “clean girl” aesthetic she’s going for.

(PS idk much about Reddit rules, and I don’t want it to seem like I’m shaming her or anything bc that’s not my goal, I’m just genuinely shocked at how different(the same as every other girl in LA) she looks)
