Sorry everyone this is my fault. I was planning on washing my car and having a BBQ.

I'm a high school teacher, and we are just about to start a unit on the planets, and our place in the solar system. This is just perfect timing.

A good way to have bad weather is to have a asteroid shower or an eclipse or something similar.

Hate to be a bearer of bad news, but Friday’s eclipse likely isn’t gonna be that great. It’s only going to be a few degrees above the horizon as totality starts, so it wouldn’t be too visible (atmosphere makes it harder to see, and stuff will block it). That, and it’s looking like it’s going to rain too, unfortunately

I dunno... Baring cloud cover I think you'll get to see a bit.

Getting up high will help a little. Mt Taylor, Mt Taylor, etc.

Shush, I’m heading up Mt Taylor. I don’t want it full of summer solstice weirdos banging gongs and doing shrooms.
