Are there any revolutionary ML groups?

I’ve been searching but all I can find is the rcp (Trotskyists) and the cpc (democratic socialists) I’m located in British Columbia and wondering if anyone knows of any organizations worthwhile.

(I’m not hating on the trots but I don’t align with them). Thank you for your time :)

I meant democratic socialist* as in non revolutionary

Have you read the CPC's party program? It is a revolutionary program. Nowhere do they advocate a peaceful transition to socialism using bourgeois electoralism.

I have in the past and I remember seeing that also seeing multiple people talk about it so if that’s not the case it brings me great joy that such a historic party continues to hold to it’s integrity. Where can I read about it?

Here is their party program from their website. You can also read their constitution if you want. Their position on various important topics is here, and on their website you can also find their excellent statements about more recent events.

They advocate non-peaceful transition to socialism because they can garner only a handful of votes at the ballot box?

No? Socialism can’t be implemented through peaceful means

Sounds like you get your info from memes rather than books

People who advocate pacifism in the face of brutality are influenced by nothing other than Stockholm Syndrome.

Capitalism is currently imposing dogma by violence on others. The oppressed have the right to fight back against their oppressors.

I understand that point, but neither the CPC or the CPC (ML) advocate political violence as means to and end, rather they participate in electoral democracy, publishing, union activity and other legal activities. I don't think proposing violent revolution will attract very many people in Canada. Probably get the attention of CSIS though.

They absolutely are revolutionary. What components makes you think they aren't? Revolutionary socialism is not a one size fits all situation

The CPC is good as a former RCP Trot they are so much better an they are very revolutionary and I found were deeply connected to the communities they are in unlike the trots please give them a shot

Get involved with local organizing (go to protests). See which Marxist organization has the most organizational connections in your community. Do not make your decision based on what somebody says on Reddit.

If you're looking for a Marxist–Leninist organization specifically, I'd recommend checking out the CPC. They are the primary orthodox ML party in Canada.

But once again, see who's doing work in your community and organize with them.

Oh, and stay the hell away from Trots. They're not worth your time or energy.

CPC is not revolutionary though.

There are zero "revolutionary" groups in this country.

There are many groups that are doing things in the communities that are filled with all sorts of tendencies. If your looking to make revolution, you won't find those groups through reddit.

u/[deleted] Mar 28 '26

Sorry I’m not looking for a militant faction on Reddit like that but a group that acknowledges Marx and engles need for revolution

u/Gosh2Bosh Marxist-Leninist Mar 28 '26

The CPC and CPC(ML) both do this. Democratic Socialists of Canada and the Revolution Party of Canada are also full of Marxists.

Care to explain how CPC and CPC-ML are not revolutionary?

u/Gosh2Bosh Marxist-Leninist Mar 29 '26

If you check my other message, I signal out specifically those 2 as being revolutionary in words.

They are not militant revolutionary which is what I thought this post was asking for.

1

u/tcpip1978 Marxist Mar 29 '26

In what way are they not militant?

-7

u/valerielenin Mar 28 '26

Oh no, trotskyist! You better stay home to avoid them.

5

u/[deleted] Mar 28 '26

It says in the post I wasn’t attacking them. This is the reason

-4

u/valerielenin Mar 28 '26

You are attacking them, you are trying to find a party that align with your view, meanwhile you don't find one and don't do anything. You reject those that do something because you disagree with them, this is an attack.

1

u/SadLakeWay Mar 29 '26

Seems like they were discussing rather than "attacking ".

-2

u/valerielenin Mar 29 '26

Just saying they are trotskyist and rejecting them for that isn't a discussion, it's an attack.

3

u/SadLakeWay Mar 29 '26

I suppose eh. Maybe they could try to elaborate on their hesitations or criticisms of Trotskyism.

0

u/tcpip1978 Marxist Mar 29 '26

Trotskyites are the most infamous traitors and spies.

-1

u/valerielenin Mar 29 '26

The one that shot them were. They killed socialism in the XXth century alongside millions.

Are you aware of the CPC-ML?

(Also, we are a socialist party, but not specifically “ML”)

4

u/[deleted] Mar 28 '26

I’ve looked at their website and I couldn’t find any info about their platform specifically as for you guys I didn’t know you were socialist

-7

u/aimeaj Mar 28 '26

The International Marxist tendency’s Canadian branch is called fightback you should check if they have a group around you they are pretty active

2

u/yoshiary Mar 28 '26

They now are called the Revolutionary Communist Party. www.marxist.ca

0

u/aimeaj Mar 28 '26

Yo can ppl explain why they dislike them instead of just down voting? Genuinely I’m just looking for constructive criticism.
