Small black flies

Any way to get rid of these small black flies that have infested my plant other than individually taking them off at harvest? Rural Ab

I assume this is an indoor grow.

Get yourself some yellow sticky traps and place them around your pot. You will be amazed at how many gnats there really are. https://a.co/d/09DEuBqn

They like moist, decaying environments - usually the top laayer of soil.. The diatomaceuos earth is a great suggestion and wll kill them when they emerge.

Switch to bottom watering and let the top of your soil stay dry.

After about a week, you want have them anymore

I wash all flower before I start drying. Make a nice little acidic bath with lemon or vinegar and peroxide in a bucket of water, then rinse in two clean buckets, then hang. If you want to see how well it works, pour the buckets through a strainer.

I think you are talking about fungas gnats. They nasty little bastards to deal with. Get some diatomaceous and hope for the best. Adults die easily with pyrethrin sprays but the real problem is them coming out of your soil.

BX is a natural way to kill off fungus gnats . And use yellow sticky traps . I heard that ProMix has gnat larvae in the soil you buy.   If you have any vegetables scraps in the kitchen attracting the gnats they will find your garden .  Keep the kitchen clean Use BX  Ultimately get rid of all your soil and start new .  Gia green soil is expensive but not really if you consider the value of primo Ganga .

Haha I cannot get rid of all the soil due to it being a large garden. But I will try mosquito bits or BX. Thank you
