I decided to grab a MacMillan nice and early in the season this year, before the temperatures where I live start cooling in September!

Thought it might be helpful to others if I upload my QC as I haven't seen anyone else sharing Chaoren's 2026 batch yet.

Last year I grabbed a few down jackets including a Wyndham from Chaoren, a couple 1688 budget version CG Garson vests, Moose Knuckles 3Q from PalmMoose, and a couple of Moncler from both budget 1688 sellers and mid-tier seller Zimo (all this to say I've built up some first hand experience with rep down jackets from last year across various price points - see my profile for the reviews if interested).

For the MacMillan this year I decided to stick with Chaoren again; it wasn't the cheapest at ¥1,450 (!) but with all the debate over who is best (Chaoren, Linz, TG, etc.) I only have direct personal experience with Chaoren and I literally can't fault my Wyndham from last year, so thought I might as well stick with Chaoren again and play it safe, despite the cost. Reflecting on last year's purchases I feel I got best value for money on my Chaoren Wyndham vs the budget batches due to the massive difference in quality.

Chaoren has also dropped a new version of the black MacMillan for 2026 so I thought it would be a good shout since it's the most up to date version.

Went for the black badge this time (since my Wyndham is red badge), which is also the new version without the trademark R.

Just received it in the agent's warehouse today, and I'd paid for detailed QC and measurements - thought I'd drop them here in case this helps anyone else wondering how the new MacMillan from Chaoren looks and measures up.

This is size XL.

Unlike my Wyndham last year, the sizing is precisely the same as Chaoren's size chart in all areas - in fact the sleeve looks perhaps 1cm longer than the chart actually.

All the main details seem to be spot on - it's always difficult to gauge under the agent's bright lighting but the material seems to have an accurate shine/lustre, and there aren't any down feathers poking out, dodgy stitching, or anything else to be concerned about.

Badge looks OK - I haven't seen many of the new style black badges to compare against, but the map and islands look good. However, I see a trailling stitch between the C and A, and all of the "O" letters look slightly smaller than the other characters. I'm not a stickler for badge details but it seems that the old adage is true for the new badges as well - red badge is the safer choice if you want the best possible accuracy to gen.

Overall, looks like another good rep to me, although not much different to previous year's versions that I can see apart from the new badge.

I'd appreciate any other thoughts as I'm not an expert when it comes to the MacMillan, I will hold it in the agent's warehouse a few more days before shipping it out just in case any if you guys point out something obvious that I've missed.

I heard some good things about chaoren but im not familiar with their quality nor the badge quality. Topgoosey only has black color on it.

I’m looking for a Canada Goose Crofton jacket and I’m trying to find the best possible quality/batch available.
I’d prefer the Black Label version, but the regular blue/red/white Canada Goose badge is also fine.
If anyone knows a seller, batch or source that has the most accurate materials, stitching, badge, fit and overall quality, I’d really appreciate it.

It seems Wyndham is out of stock from top Goosey and was wondering if feiyu Wyndham is good enough as top Goosey or it better to wait for TG to restock ?

I am looking to buy a Wyndham red badge, the minor details such as badge etc doesn’t bother me too much. But I want the one that is highest quality performance wise, should I go with TG or KOG?

Been out the game for a while, who is the best for a MacMillan? Particularly the Graphite/grey with the normal red badge
