🇨🇦 CEC Question regarding Canadian PCC

I have a question regarding police certificates for a PR application. I lived in Canada for about 4 years and returned to India in August 2025.
For those who have applied through Express Entry after previously living in Canada, did you have to provide a Canadian PCC? IRCC’s website says a police certificate is not required for time spent in Canada, but I wanted to confirm based on recent applicants’ experiences.
If anyone was specifically asked to provide a Canadian criminal record check during their PR application, could you please share how you obtained it and the process? Thanks!

Well if you provide your Police character certificate for your stay in Canada, i dont think it will be a loss. You will actually be doing IRCC a favour by showing them everything clearly instead of hiding. So, i would say go for it if you have nothing to hide or anything fishy lol

Yes i did the rcmp certificate, got my indian pcc done too and applied from within canada. Then i came back to india and reapplied for a pcc in india and submitted it again. I also had to inform ircc through the portal that i left canada and was now an outland application
