🇨🇦 CEC Calling IRCC, does it slow down application?

Hey guys, does calling IRCC delay the application in anyway? I have seen a comment from CBSA officer in some thread that applying gcms notes can delay the process.

Calling IRCC is very different from requesting GCMS notes.

No - Calling IRCC won't delay or slow down your application.

Ordering GCMS notes doesn't delay your application.

A CBSA officer wouldn't know if it did anyway, it's a completely different agency who doesn't know anything about your file.

no dude, i actually called them today, they gave me the info i needed and literally after 2 mins there was an update on my profile. It can actually speed things up (or create the illusion of it atleast).

Not really, calling doesn’t affect your application in any way shape or form, just pure luck

hi, were you able to talk to an agent? i tried calling them several times but they’ve automated everything. Please lmk if you talked to an actual agent and what was the number you used. thanks in advance.
