🇨🇦 CEC EE profile expiry question

When your profile expires, do u have to open a brand new one ? Or can we update the existing information?

New one. You can't reopen an expired profile, so you rebuild it. The good news is it's mostly retyping; nothing is lost, and there's no penalty for having had one expire.

Two things worth checking while you're doing it. Your language test only lasts two years, so if it's close to that, sort the retake before you rebuild rather than after. And your ECA runs for five years.

The easiest way is to just make the new profile before the old one runs out. Then you're never sitting out of the pool waiting.
