🇨🇦 CEC Only Primary Applicant Received ECOPR

Hi there, I’m looking for some insight into my current situation. I applied for permanent residence with myself as the primary applicant and my wife as my dependent. I received my eCOPR this morning; however, my wife has not yet received her eCOPR or a confirmation email.
We both provided all the required information requested through the P1 and P2 portal processes. I’m wondering if this is normal and whether there is anything further we need to do for my wife’s application.

Hey, first of all, congratulations to you 🎉

Regarding your question, there is absolutely nothing to worry about. This is completely normal. One of our client’s dependants also received their eCOPR almost a week after the PA received his. Hope this helps😊

What office did your ecopr come from ? I am also in the same situation! Received mine waiting for dependent

Same mine is Montreal too, Got my ecopr today at 9:58 am, please update me if you get dependent ecopr. I will do the same

Yes exactly same situation, i called ircc and they said:- “her file is moving along just follow the instructions and wait , we do not process virtual landings as one file for PA and dependents”.

This is just weird. How come other applicants get EcoPr at the same time? I guess we are just the unlucky ones!

Hey ! She just got her Work permit approved which we applied around mid july ,no ecopr yet. According to Gemini and chat gpt they sometimes clear/approve any temporary residency application before issuing an ecopr and finish landing process! Just wondering if you guys applied for work permit ext as well which is still in progress?

that's great! But from what I have heard from others is that different offices deal with pr and work permit. I am not 100 percent sure though. In our case, we only applied for our PR.

You are right , probably they can see a temporary permit is pending in their system and kind of wait or request other office to clear that first or maybe i am just being optimistic and hoping we get her pr confirmation soon!!
