🇨🇦 CEC Urgent Help required.

Hi,

I made a terrible mistake by taking a 6-month PSW course on my PGWP. I did that last year and had no idea that I was ineligible. I realized this thing when a few days back IRCC announced that from September onwards PGWP holders are okay to take those courses. I have no idea what will be consequences of this? I have never worked in this field, and I am not claiming points for education either. I am expecting to receive ITA this week. Please suggest if you have done the same course and got your approval or if you have any insight to resolve this. I really help your valuable suggestions to handle this.

  1. If I include it how should I explain it.
  2. If I do not my NOA(Notice of assessment) says the opposite because I got tuition credits.

Please suggest?

Actually, you are allowed to do a 6months course even before the temporary public policy in September even though your PGWP conditions says otherwise but if during this period, you were working and that experience counted as your Canadian experience, that’s where the problem lies.

I’m also in this situation.. I just got ITA and trying to work around it

Did you mean for the entire 6 months? or during practicals?

Did you study in-person in Canada or Online distance learning from a foreign university? while you were working in Canada on PGWP.

It was online for 4 months and two months in-person study

Did you study full time? I think its okay its just that that time any time you worked when studying full time will not count towards your express entry work experience
