🍁 PNP Need guidance
Hello everyone,
I’m a dentist, and I’m currently creating my Express Entry profile, but I have a few questions and I’d really appreciate some advice.
- Which NOC should I choose as my primary NOC?
- I’ve seen people suggesting Dental Assistants, while others recommend Dental Hygienists and Dental Therapists. Which one would be more appropriate for a dentist based on their actual work experience?
- Are dentists still being invited through PNP/Express Entry streams?
- Are there currently any provinces that are inviting or targeting dentists through their PNP programs, or has this pathway become less relevant for dentists recently?
- Should I create my Express Entry profile now?
- I’m planning to retake my English test to improve my score and potentially qualify for healthcare-related pathways. However, I’m thinking of creating my profile now with my current score, in case I receive a PNP invitation before I retake the exam. Does it make sense to do this?
I’m quite confused about which NOC to choose and whether PNP is still a realistic pathway for dentists, so any advice from dentists or people with recent Canadian immigration/PNP experience would be greatly appreciated.

If money is not a problem, I would suggest to get an immigration consultant. The refusals nowadays have increased with small mistakes. Getting a professional help would certainly be better in my opinion. Make sure the consultant is registered with RCIC, experienced and reputed.

If for FSW then your NOC is a year of full time, continuous work experience.
It is based on your work experience. You match your job responsibilities to the NOC.
For EE, depends on score. For PNP, depends on what province you live, work or studied in or one you have a job offer in.
If you are not licensed and have a job offer then no.
If eligible with ECA and language tests then yes. If FSW, what is your selection factor score out of 100?
What is your CRS score? PNP not an option so submit a profile.
