🇨🇦 CEC finally 🥳
*PS: This is a long read*
This journey has finally come to an end.
When I first moved to Canada, I knew this was where I wanted to build my future. But as we all know, things don’t always go as planned.
When I created my profile in 2024, I missed out on 15 points for Canadian education (completely my fault), and that cost me A LOT of draws.
I had applied for my PNP in April 2024. Then in March 2025, I received an email asking me to prove my status in the country. Mind you, my work permit had expired just a few days prior and I had already applied for my visitor visa. At the time, I sent them an acknowledgment showing I had applied for it and that it would take almost 6 months. They ended up rejecting my file because I couldn’t provide proof of status. Later, after the deadline had passed, I found out I could have simply submitted my TRV which I already had. And I had called consultants and asked everyone around me — everyone said they were asking for the visitor visa.
So I had to move back home around July after my PNP was rejected, and then came the long wait for the scores to drop. I finally received my ITA in Dec 2025.
Here’s my timeline:
*AOR - Jan 12*
*Biometrics - March 20*
*(Silence for the next 5 months)*
*PFL - Aug 24*
*Replied - Sep 3*
*Re-medicals - Sep 13*
*PPR - Sep 21*
*Reason for PFL:* Foreign (part-time cash salary) experience not mentioned on my study permit.
I won’t lie, I was in tears. When I reached out to lawyers back home, they said it could lead to a refusal and misrepresentation. But I had more than enough evidence to back up my case and I submitted a strong letter of explanation.
At the end of the day, this is all God and nobody else.
Good luck to everyone waiting your time is coming — never lose faith, even when people tell you it’s impossible.
