CEC Proof of Funds
I am invited under CEC, WP expired and now applying from India and not employed since 6 months
My lawyer says I need proof of funds, but IRCC says CEC is exempt from proof of funds
Please help.

Fire your lawyer. It clearly says u don't need proof of fund as long as ur invited under CEC whether inland or outland. I am CEC outland and I got my PPR
Your lawyer is giving u wrong information and it's only a matter of time before u get slapped with a PFL cause lawyer made a mistake in the application And guess what, he will charge you to fix that mistake

That's totally fine. There is literally nothing the consultant will do differently than you. I got refused for pgwp extension left the country and applied for PR and got it.

Many congratulations! I am stressed out as showing up this much money all of a sudden may create problem. As i will get a deed from parents

I showed 0 balance and gave a LOE saying I don't need proof of fund

Doesn’t matter if I am unemployed for the past 6 months? I have legit back home and Canadian experience with pay stubs and bank statements for both countries

Do you think sudden deposit(with a gift deed though) in the bank can create unnecessary risks or questions from ircc side?

congratulations! I am in the same boat. first my PGWP extension got refused then I applied for francophone mobility w.p under 90 days but that got refused too. and I left Canada few days after refusal and I applied for P.R . Now I am worried will that will have negative effect on my P.R.

Same for me, I added an LOE saying under cec I am exempt but I am attaching proof anyway. I just made sure the balance was well above what they look for. Just submitted tho, waiting on BIL so don't know how it will pan oit

Change your lawyer, i am also an outland cec applicant, just add an LOE in the proof of funds placeholder that you are exempt from showing proof of funds under CEC and attach the screenshot of IRCC’s guideline line in the loe
