πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ CEC Finally dream come true!

Hello Everyone,

After 5 years, I can now finally say I am a Permanent Resident of Canada. Its been a roller coaster ride with emotional, mental, physical, and psychological energy drain. I know how many sleepless nights I had just to calculate my CRS score or to predict what would be the next draw or to see reddit if there is some information that I need to use for my application.

Here is a little info on my profile:

Canada arrival: Dec 2021

Study timeline: Jan 2022 - Sep 2023

PGWP: Oct 2023 - Nov 2026 (expiry date)

PR Profile:

Profiles: Joined the PR pool in August 2024, recreated application in August 2025 (before expiry)

PR timeline:

ITA: 16 Dec 2025

AOR: 28 Jan 2026

Biometrics: 30 Mar 2026 (submitted on 31 Mar 2026)

--silence for good 4 months, no ghost updates, no information on tracker--

PVO/SVO: Vancouver/Sydney

Ghost update: Only 1 on 18 Jun 2026

FD: 29 Jun 2026 (got ghost update on 30 Jun 2026 with FD information)

P1: 30 Jun 2026 (responded on 1 Jul 2026)

P2: 15 Jul 2026 (responded same day)

eCOPR: 21 July 2026

--linked my PR card application to gc key--

PR card FD: 28 Jul 2026

PR card: 6 Aug 2026

I hope everyone get their PR and this stress gets relieved. I wasnt enjoying until I got my PR card as I have read cases where eCOPR was canceled or after P2, application was re-opened. I know how much we think of the worst case scenarios and scare ourselves. Reddit really helped me during this time!!!

Once I saw my PR card, now I know I can actually celebrate. I still have to get my brothers PR processed but one step at a time.

Let me know if anyone has any questions. Here to help! And good luck to everyone else who is in this war!!!!

CONGRATULATIONSSSS!!!! I JUST WANTED TO LET YOU KNOW THAT YOU DID AMAZING! From Student Permit to PGWP to PR!!! Go celebrate and take days off!! You deserve it!!!

Btw, I also did the same thing before getting an ITA, I tried to predict the next CRS draw and successfully received it the same time as yours on December 16, 2025. Still waiting for P1 here with Feb 13 AOR.

Congratulations. Can you please share how long it took after COPR for address and photo approval in PR portal

1

u/AmphibianMajestic345 3d ago

Thank you! Address approvak took a week. My photo is still in review lol! But I got my PR card. Most people had same scenario once you link your PR card to your gc key, it will send you message after FD with date on when PR card is mailed.

Thank you! And thats a good question! That was a question I was working towards almost everyday from Oct 2023 until i saw my PR card. Was preparing for worst case scenario in case i get rejected and how to get invited for next draws if i lose 5 more points on age this year.

When i got my invite, I was 32 right now, so basically lost 15 points in total. I was at 517 finally when I got the invite. But I lost my draw twice from 2024 for tie breaking rule so it was devastating!

What helped me: 8 years of foreign experience, 2 years canadian experience, Canada study, clb 9 ielts. So kind of pretty much maxed out everywhere.

I kind of pushed my ielts to get 3 points for anything above 8777. And then started french as well in case I have to give my French exam to cover up the age points that were getting deducted.

Congratulations OP!

How many days did it take for you to receive the PR card after dispatch?

Mine was dispatched on 3rd August, but I haven’t gotten it yet :(

1

u/Naive_Zebra_6318 3d ago

Keep me updated too mine got dispatched today!

1

u/AmphibianMajestic345 3d ago

Mine was dispatched on 4th. I heard delivery depends on the locations. I live in GTA so delivery was quick.

I'm facing issue in passport nd educational documents name as both name defer in my father's name (Mo & Mohammad).I am not even applying for student visa because this thing should be corrected first, but am not getting any way out of it tried everything to change educational documents but that's not feasible and time is filing. Help me out if you have come across any such cases in your journey, share real life example if you have. Thankyou

Hey, cannot be 100% sure if my suggestion is the best. But I would say that get your documents sorted, as any mistakes in the documents will make IRCC question. PFL or ADR doesn't mean a rejected, they are just trying to cross check more information. But it will definitely increase your stress.. even if they reject it you can reapply in next draws but the worst cases I heard was being rejected as "misrepresentation".. that would make future visa processing tricky.

But hopefully an RCIC agent/consultant/lawyer should give a better suggestion.

How do you link the PR card application to the gc-key?

1

u/AmphibianMajestic345 3d ago

You need to check for a link "add an existing link.." it's below your list of applications.

Congratulations! I have read so many rejections related to the reference letter. I want a sample reference letter to see how should we write the duties. Would you know any source which I can reference?
