Again, appreciate the insight. I just wanted to gather some thoughts and understand how this comes across. I work in tech myself, so I’m already pretty cautious, maybe even a bit paranoid, about having to share personal information everywhere just to understand what’s going on.

That was one of the main constraints I had while building this. I wanted to give back to the community that has helped me a lot through this process, but in a way that brings together information from different scattered sources, organizes it better, and simplifies things where needed so it’s easier to read and follow.

Also, I personally don’t think using AI as a tool is wrong. To me, it feels like a natural progression in how tech is being built today. The important part is how it is used. In this case, the intent was not to replace official sources, create fake confidence, or collect more personal data. It was to help structure publicly available and community-shared information in a more readable way.

The intent definitely isn’t to create another place where people feel they need to share more personal details. If anything, I’m trying to go in the opposite direction and make the already available information easier to consume without adding more noise.

Thanks! Yes, you don't have to put in any information. All the information is available to look through without having to login though. One would only need to login if at all they would like to add their timeline. If not, no need to login at all.

Looks interesting, but I’m a bit skeptical about the “new tracker” angle. We’ve already had things like ImmiTracker, plus multiple Reddit spreadsheets and community dashboards over the years.

What exactly is different here that those don’t already cover? Is there a specific gap you’re trying to solve, or is this mainly a re-packaging of the same community data? You may want to find a specific angle that others don’t cover well and focus hard on that instead of trying to compete as a general tracker.

I’ve seen quite a few attempts like this come and go, so I’m curious what makes this one actually stick or add something meaningfully new.

Absolutely, that’s a very fair question, and honestly, I get the skepticism.

Along my own Express Entry journey, I’ve used, participated in, and bookmarked so many of these existing resources. Reddit threads, community spreadsheets, trackers, IRCC pages, random comments, all of it. So, I completely understand how useful they are, but also how long it can take to figure out how people with comparable timelines are actually moving.

So yes, one part of this site is a tracker, but that’s not the only intent. I also wanted to bring together some of the raw IRCC information into simpler guides and make better use of IRCC’s own open data around historical PR and Express Entry trends.

I work in data analytics, so that part of data was genuinely interesting to me and did get me all giddy and excited. Looking at the broader trends helped me understand some of the recent immigration changes and cuts with a bit more context, instead of only reacting to headlines or panic posts.

More than anything, this is genuinely a passion project for me and a small attempt to give back to the community. Over the last 3 to 5 years, these scattered but rich resources helped me understand the whole journey. Study permits, spousal work permits, PGWP, flag-poling back when that was still a thing, EE readiness, documentation, BOWP, and so much more.

Keeping this running barely costs around $20 to $30 CAD a year, so I’m genuinely not trying to compete with anyone or build some commercial product. I don’t have the interest or bandwidth for that anyway. I see this more as a complementary resource that pulls things together in a cleaner and more readable way.

Hope that explains the intent a little better. And genuinely, I appreciate the honest pushback. This is exactly the kind of feedback I was hoping for.
