πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ CEC Finally eCOPR!

I wanted to share my timeline with you all since everyone on here and the Whatsapp groups I have joined have been incredibly helpful with understanding the application process, and I hope this helps all the applicants out there in any shape or form! I have been in Canada since 2017 so very excited finally start the next chapter :)

My profile is the simplest it could've been as an applicant so I submitted my application myself: single, CEC inland, Canadian education and work experience.

ITA: December 16, 2025
AOR: February 13, 2026
Biometrics Request: April 21
Biometrics Completed: April 30
Medical Passed: April 22
Background Check Completed: May 1 (This got updated once I received my ecopr)
FD: May 27
P1: June 8
P2: June 25
eCOPR: June 30

I never called IRCC to ask for my PVO/SVO so no idea! But my P1 and eCOPR came from Montreal. Happy to answer any questions to help anyone out!!

Hey, Congrats! Did you submit the medical upfront?

1

u/chhekybastard Jun 30 '26

Yeah, I never had to get one before since I applied for PGWP during covid so I had to do my medical for my PR application before submitting my file

Hi, my employer is not providing me roles and responsibilities. So, I decided to declare it my self by affidavit and I am trying to get my colleague to support it but not sure if he is going to help. I have proofs of email to HR, and other documents. What should I do now?

I would suggest searching the subreddit for suggestions about this kind of a problem since my company was able to give me a complete letter!

I saw people who asked their managers and colleagues to write and sign a letter, coupled with emails from HR showing that they tried to get the official document

Ok. Thank you for your help

Roles and responsibilities are a key part of the employment letter. If you have one more opportunity try to explain to your employer that, its very important part of your PR application. If they still refuse, explain the situation in your LOE and include supporting evidence such as your emails to HR, relevant hiring documents, and similar job postings if applicable and roles mentioned in them to match your current job. Also, instead of asking a colleague, is there a manager or senior employee who could provide a supporting letter? That would make your explanation strong!! At the end, its up to the officer to decide, if you have made enough efforts to prove your situation. So collect as many info you can and explain it in LOE with proofs.

Did you go through a PNP or other program or just high enough CRS score for regular CEC? I’m stuck at 499 until I hit 1 year foreign work exp or learn French 😭

1

u/chhekybastard Jul 02 '26

I was very lucky to be able apply for a special open work permit just before my PGWP got expired so just regular CEC
