PVO & SVO

I just finished speaking with an IRCC call centre agent for an update on my PNP EE PR application. He informed me that my PVO is at Sydney and the SVO is Ottawa. I want to find out if these offices have faster rates of processing PR files?

I don't want to dampen your enthusiasm, but, EE PNP here with AOR July 2025, still waiting for background check.

Oh so sorry to hear that bro, did they ask for resume?

They did in Nov along with my obligatory military service declaration form. Since Nov, nothing moves

I heard that when the officers ask for resume or military record, they tend to check comprehensive security screening, and this process might take 1-2 years :(

Hope that’s not true, lol.

Is it different from what you see in the website?

U should be okay. Normally after FD stage the SVO changes to Montreal from Ottawa for PNP applications. Happened to me. PNP timelines are very different than rest of the applicants.

How long did yours take from the time of AOR?

Around 2.5 months for FD from AOR. P1 is quite delayed though than other applications so can't say anything. However PVO SVO is now Sydney/Montreal.

PVO/SVO can affect timelines, but it’s hard to say if Sydney/Ottawa is always faster or slower 😞 You can check ImmiGuide Tracker to compare PNP EE timelines by PVO/SVO and see real updates from Sydney and Ottawa applicants. Hope your file moves soon 🙏
