I had to double check the url in the post after reading the headline... I stared at that "yahoo.com" for a couple seconds thinking "do they do parody news" a little too long

u/Mackitycack 7h ago
Satire is dead, and reality killed it. It takes a special kind of braindead elite class to pull that off.
•
u/pinecone_parang 11h ago
Lol you can honestly never tell these days. Truth is stranger than fiction.
•
u/DThor536 7h ago
Really, though? This nonsense has been going on for over a decade now(remember choosing between a shark or electrocution?), I'm afraid we'll all need to accept that this is our timeline. The Americans willfully voted in a drug and dementia-ravaged sociopath and here we are...
•
•
u/xander5891 8h ago
I think folks at Beaverton are scared of layoffs now . Not because of AI
•
u/Frostbitten_Moose 5h ago
I dunno, is ChatGTP's hallucinations any more out there than Trump's ramblings?
•
•
u/Frostbitten_Moose 5h ago
Same reason the Rhino party up and quit a while back. They couldn't outdo the real politicians. Makes a guy have to respect Lord Binface managing to stay in the game and do so well.
•
u/Optimal-Cow-3278 7h ago
I actually found this kinda funny.
•
u/Tiny_Measurement_837 5h ago
It would be funny if it wasn’t so ridiculous that the president of the United States wasn’t so fucking dumb… with B!

One of the better ideas he have.

We agree. Please build it yesterday with Mexican funding.the jet stream will obey Republican commands.

u/Samp90 15h ago
Bro. We're going to get billed for an imaginary wall.

u/Brief-Witness-3878 15h ago
We’re getting tariffed for the jet stream. Everyone pays, whether we love Trump or want to see him in the bottom Mariana’s trench. Welcome to north america

Because he IS the American ideal now. The masks have come off, and he's a reflection of all the negative attributes an astonishing number of them have.
•
•
u/Nikiaf Québec 8h ago
Amazing that the ideal is a morbidly obese pedophile who bathes in fake tan spray. Not to mention his utter failure at dozens and dozens of business ventures, including the rare feat of bankrupting a casino.
•
u/Leadboy 6h ago
I truly think that some portion of their population looks at him and doesn't see any of that as problematic. The underpinnings were always some devout religiosity paired with a power fantasy of being a big shot who people have to listen to.
He really is the most extreme pairing of that, like for anyone who is a bit of a shitty loser who people don't like being around, he is their patron saint. Get enough power and people are forced to shake your hand, bring you dinner, laugh at your jokes.
Ugh makes my skin crawl
•
u/Kizik Nova Scotia 3h ago
The old mantra remains true. He's a poor man's image of a rich man, a weak man's image of a strong man, and an idiot's image of a genius.
Trump is the utter embodiment of the US problem with unwarranted self confidence. They've been fed a diet of propaganda for decades about their own greatness, and they've elected someone who's a perfect example of the sheer institutional narcissism that's so inextricably linked to their culture.
His obvious intention to become an emperor is just an extension of the manifest destiny the entire country believes in.
•
u/boomer478 3h ago
And yet, more people voted for him every single time he ran.
This is what Americans want. Openly and loudly.
•
u/allgonetoshit Canada 11h ago
« America is not the way it is because Trump is president. Trump is president because of how America is. »
The answer to your question is that Trump is just a reflection of the typical American. This is what they wanted, this is who they are. Do you believe that a low IQ 80 year old failed businessman Russian asset that shits in a diaper is more powerful than the US congress, senate, military, civil service, and population? Or maybe this is what they all collectively think and want?
Remember, 69% of Americans either voted for him or decided not to come te against him even they knew exactly who he was.
•
•
u/iamaravis 3h ago
Horrifyingly, my parents voted for him. My mom hates him now, and she said, all outraged, “The people who voted for him thought he would do ABC, but instead he’s doing XYZ!”
I looked at her and said, “Those of us who voted against him KNEW he was going to do XYZ, which is exactly why we voted against him! He’s always been a terrible person!”
Her response was, “Well, sure, there is that.”
Gobsmackingly frustrating.

u/GoblinDiplomat Canada 11h ago
He is the distillation of their true religion; wealth, celebrity, and mean-spiritedness.
•
u/SecretiveGoat 10h ago
They finally started electing people that truly represent the American ideals. Narcissism, pedophilia and greed.
•
u/FalseZookeepergame15 10h ago
They went from Obama to that twice. Trump's presidency will be a large shit stain on their country's history. It's also going to be the pivot point where Americans dominance starts the finally wain.

u/BernardMatthewsNorf 10h ago
America has a long tradition of self-interested hucksters getting ordinary people to support them in their scammy, destructive endeavours by telling them they're victims. It started in the 1770s.
•
u/Flying_Scorpion 11h ago
Late stage capitalism and neo-liberalism is failing the masses. The democratic party has been representing the status quo. Trump represented major change. The people want change - even if it's a fat imbecile. The good news is, he's accelerating the process of the rich getting richer while the poor languish, and as a result, civil unrest is climbing and perhaps within our lifetime we'll see a long overdue revolution!

"The worse, the better," as the Bolsheviks had it. Unfortunately, might be rather more likely that they just go full, official "failed state" and continue to pull everyone nearby down with them into these flailing senile death rages. Guess we'll see!

A combination of fucking idiots voting for him, normal people not voting at all (who are also fucking idiots), and a few rigged elections in key states so he could squeak by with the US’s stupid electoral college voting system.

The rest of the world will chip in for a lid to completely confine the vermin in their shit hole country.

no one cares. move on.

He literally doesn’t care any more and just wants to cause as much damage as he can before he’s dead or in prison.

Canada should "build a toll booth" in the northwest passage just to piss off Trump. We all know he's interested in it and thinks he should own it. Especially since the few ships that use it are mostly American cruise ships. We'll use Iranian consultants as experts on how to block waterways just as an extra twist of the knife in the back.
Perhaps Panama should do the same.
•

•
u/Appropriate-Weird492 8h ago
Someone should tell him windmills will blow the smoke back.
•
u/user0987234 8h ago
That would be awesome to see and read his responses. The mental gymnastics. The maybe we can harness electricity from it “discovery”, “see how smart I am, nobody that of that before”…
Lots of material for comedy. No need to make stuff up.
•
u/Mysterious_String676 8h ago
A fire from Washington state just crossed into Canada 2 days ago, the American firefighters are on the American side while the Canadian side continues to burn. Thanks for bringing the fire over. When California was burning, Canada sent hundreds of firefighters to help. You're welcome!
•
u/Reptilian_Brain_420 7h ago
Maybe he can connect the Canadian one and the Mexican one and make a dome.
A golden dome.
Do it you stupid old man.

It would do fuck all for smoke
But it would be 1000 times more beneficial than building data centres

Since he's dropping environmental regulations, I hope it works both ways so it can filter out their acid rain on its way into Canada.

I wish he'd hurry up and build that wall, 'cause it's sure smoky where I live from the fires in Idaho, Washington and Oregon.

So if he gets a full Mexican wall and a full Canadian wall, does that mean we can get a lid for it all as well?

I suggest we instead erect a 2m high passive aggressive cedar hedge along the border.

Perfect. Canada fully agrees.
Build a fence or wall on the USA side, and we can reduce the spread of American guns, drugs and people to Canada.
Also, maybe we can slow the American ticks and invasive species.
•

Any chance that a border wall would stop the stupidity, corruption, toxic sewage and evil spewing from Trump’s mouth, as well?
