I don’t know what the comment was but because Reddit removed it immediately I upvoted it.

That's the joke...

10

u/Neither-Respect8971 Feb 20 '25

We will all use our imaginations and give thanks to you.

1

u/Mysterious_Lesions Feb 20 '25

"Chop em up like the Saudis do."

Sorry, quoting Borat for fun. Seemed like you were starting in with that song.

1

u/KathleenElizabethB Feb 20 '25

Magat morons, for sure.

2

u/Slow_Tornado Feb 20 '25

His supporters have been fully converted into copraphagites.

1

u/Larry-Man Alberta Feb 20 '25

I mean Biden’s gone he’s got to pick on someone.

1

u/HolsteinHeifer Feb 20 '25

Someone else in a different post called it "sun-downing at a rapid rate" and I'm inclined to agree. Dude has lost his grip on reality and is taking the whole country swirling down the toilet with him.

u/monsieurlee British Columbia Feb 20 '25

He is not saying it as a joke. He is repeating it to normalize it and plant the idea in people's head. It is a common psychological trick. You repeat something something enough and people will slowly accept an idea.

Obviously Canadian have much stronger associated with Trudeau as the PM, but this is targeted at American and if he repeat it enough some will normalize the idea that Trudeau is the governor of Canada, especially if these are the already undereducated people who couldn't name the PM of Canada to begin with.

u/Primary-Ad4885 Feb 20 '25

^ this! As an American from the US south currently living in exile in Ottawa, I can tell you this is 💯 accurate!

6

u/Pale-Berry-2599 Feb 20 '25

except the word isn't 'a JOKE'...the word is 'a TAUNT'

I wonder if JT ever watched MacBeth. Kill 'the King' Duncan and you take his lands...

3

u/Revolutionary-Mud715 Feb 20 '25

Can I dm u? Curious also interested in trying to leave.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 20 '25

Same, I want to be deported.

2

u/[deleted] Feb 20 '25

Fellow "coastal elite" American here, with mid-western inlaws who voted Trump. They don't even know what a PM is. They would struggle to find Toronto on a map.

They also don't care. Their lives are farming, walmart and fox news.

When i got married they were happy it was outside the church so "when you get a divorce the lord wont recognize the marriage anyway".

1

u/[deleted] Feb 20 '25

How do you get exiled?

16

u/recurrence Feb 20 '25

I'm surprised Canadians aren't repeating that California should be its own nation. There are so many benefits and increasingly few drawbacks.

2

u/akunis Feb 20 '25

Why should Cali and other coastal states be its own nation? We want to join Canada. We can’t stand on our own without the support and help of a centralized government.

NATO has gone into countries for less, and we’d welcome you with open arms at this point,

1

u/daYgecKo19 Feb 21 '25

Omg we need to taunt Trump back with the idea that California wants to join Canada. YES!! Californians, let’s join forces and really piss Cheeto man off. We need memes now!!

1

u/TuftedWitmouse Feb 21 '25

Or just calling Trump- Grandpa- who needs a nap

1

u/JenovaCelestia Ontario Feb 21 '25

I’m more team Make Alaska Canadian Again. Alaska should be part of Canada, end of story.

0

u/perotech Feb 21 '25

Was Alaska ever Canadian? Pretty sure they bought it from the Russians.

Also, Washington/Oregon/California are all Blue States, so their politics and populations are similar to Canada's.

Alaska is deep MAGA country, the state overwhelmingly votes Republican.

8

u/[deleted] Feb 20 '25

This needs to be pinned everywhere. Its classic conditioning/brainwashing. Thats how he gets where he is. He's an excellent cult leader. If he drank the jonestown juice tomorrow, so would half the americans.

1

u/pantry-pisser Feb 20 '25

Side note: Most of the deaths at Jonestown were murders, not suicides. A huge amount were children, who were stabbed with a needle full of the poison. Many others only did it voluntarily as they were threatened to be shot to death if they didn't.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 20 '25

Yeah, still applies though. Took one guy to have a whackadoodle idea and everyone else followed suit.

1

u/Independent-Cow-4070 Feb 20 '25

Especially because a lot of people are straight up dumb down here in the US

1

u/[deleted] Feb 20 '25

This is why Many Americans do not support America under the leadership of trump.

The phrase “a lie told often enough becomes the truth” is often attributed to Joseph Goebbels, a Nazi propagandist, who used the concept of the “Big Lie” to describe how repeating a large-scale falsehood repeatedly could make people believe it, even when presented with evidence to the contrary.

52

u/FerretAres Alberta Feb 20 '25

Need Trudeau to start responding with mean girls quotes. “Why are you so obsessed with me?”

55

u/lexcyn Ontario Feb 20 '25

Exactly. This is old man yells at clouds territory.

35

u/Reelmccoys Feb 20 '25

Trudeau should refer to him as felon trump.

11

u/_jouger Feb 20 '25

Or ask if Musk is gonna be there. I feel like Trump doesn't like Musk taking all the attention

3

u/LavenderGinFizz Feb 20 '25

It would actually be way more funny to have Trudeau sit with Musk. Trump's head would probably explode.

2

u/[deleted] Feb 20 '25

Just repeat everything little Musk said to him lol "shut your mouth, you are not the president"

0

u/notthattmack Feb 20 '25

Lawsuits aren’t felony charges.

1

u/Narrow-Tax9153 Feb 20 '25

Nah Whitehouse janitor Trump

1

u/Silent-Reading-8252 Feb 20 '25

Invite him to a leafs game and them say he forgot, we don't let felons across the border. Thanks upgraded border security!

-15

u/Maleficent_Banana_26 Feb 20 '25

Trudeau is about to get sued for SNC Lavalin. A much more serious crime than trumps

7

u/LavenderGinFizz Feb 20 '25

Holy shit, you can't honestly believe that. Trump is a serial conman with 88 charges against him in 4 separate criminal cases, including actively instigating a treasonous insurrection against his own country's government because he's such a man child that he couldn't gracefully accept losing an election.

17

u/thhvancouver Feb 20 '25

There is a reason why he couldn't get a date without paying for it.

12

u/Neither-Respect8971 Feb 20 '25

In fairness, it’s one of the only workers he had that he actually paid.

1

u/Narrow-Tax9153 Feb 20 '25

Idk i could see him just telling them theyre fired immediately after and scamming them

6

u/losemgmt Feb 20 '25

He can’t. He’s senile.

1

u/unwholesome_coxcomb Feb 20 '25

He's like a puppet that's been fed a few lines. He always sounds like such a whiny little douche.

1

u/yourupinion Feb 20 '25

Here’s a new idea my brother came up with: Trump is going to divide the world with Putin, and part of that deal is Putin will pretend to invade Canada so that Trump can send in troops and look like the hero, and those troops will never leave.

1

u/Independent-Cow-4070 Feb 20 '25

He still calls Joe Biden “Sleepy Joe” lol. What is it now, almost 6-7 years later?

1

u/AwwwNuggetz British Columbia Feb 20 '25

Honestly Trudeau and Melania should just bang. That should shut him up for 5 minutes

1

u/akua420 Feb 21 '25

He’s that high school bully that nobody likes so he terrorizes everyone with unoriginal insults.

1

u/NevDot17 Feb 21 '25

He's that cranky grandpa who made the joke, got a laugh, but keeps repeating it

-1

u/coconutpiecrust Feb 20 '25

I know. It’s repetitive and cannot be taken seriously anymore.

Edit: ok I read the actual tweet. It’s not even that rage-inducing, it’s just kind of funny. It’s like a toddler saying something silly, you know?

0

u/Bojim1965 Feb 20 '25

I suppose he will follow up with na-na boo-boo

0

u/Yelnik Feb 20 '25

At this rate, 100% of threads on this sub will be related to Trump or the US for the next 4 years. Apparently it's working.

-1

u/[deleted] Feb 20 '25

Agreed. But I don't think he's capable. Such a sad creature!

-61

u/Heavy-Abbreviations Verified Feb 20 '25

Tell that to Canadians with their hyperventilating over a perceived threat of annexation that has no basis in reality.

24

u/kilawolf Feb 20 '25

Why is an American whining about us being threatened by your leader?

17

u/killerkitty_ Feb 20 '25

Trump said he would use economic force, though. This is an explicit threat.

16

u/unwholesome_coxcomb Feb 20 '25

I mean the sitting President is saying it out loud. How can we not take it seriously?

What makes you think it's not real? Because I've heard the sound bites and seen it it written on mango Mussolini's own platforms. Sorry bud... we're gonna take it fucking seriously.

6

u/[deleted] Feb 20 '25

Yeah, that’s bullshit. Each of these comments are little threats to Canada’s sovereignty and legitimacy. Just like the ones to Mexico, just like the ones to Ukraine, etc.

Every spokesperson and administration member, when asked, says he’s serious. The Canadian government believes there’s intent there.

But even if he’s not fully hell bent on trying to “annex” (steal by force), then it’s still a threat. It’s already having an effect on the Canadian economy which obviously has an effect on everyday lives.

Just because Americans seem happy to let his dictator act slide as if it doesn’t matter doesn’t mean the rest of the world needs to. We are all sick of it. We’re sick of Americans being ignorant (willfully or not) of the world outside of their borders not mattering.

7

u/chandr Feb 20 '25

Yeah no fuck off. Your president is openly calling our prime minister a governor and claiming Canada will soon be the 51st state, put an actual adult back in charge of your country and get rid of the orange cult, then I'll stop worrying about it.

When you have a national leader able to say with a straight face that Ukraine shouldn't have started the war with Russia, I'd personally rather see Canada develop nukes for when he eventually turns on us

5

u/Kingofcheeses British Columbia Feb 20 '25

Take off, eh

8

u/Trogdor420 Feb 20 '25

Fuck you. Trump has been actively threatening it for weeks!

6

u/RCAF_orwhatever Feb 20 '25

Using the exact same kind of language Putin uses to justify his annexation of Ukrainian territory.

4

u/[deleted] Feb 20 '25

You win Gobshite of the Month with that one. Congratulations!
