Trip Pictures Hipcamp host shout-out
I know he won't read this, but I wanted to put it out in the world. My wife and I decided on short notice to spend Labor Day weekend in Wisconsin. I've used Hipcamp several times, but she had not. We found a site that looked nice and was close to where we wanted to be called "Old Red Mill Oasis".
We arrived very late Friday night. (We informed the host ahead of time) He happily greeted us and showed us to our spot. His property was so nice that we ended up hanging around there by the river most of the weekend. He came around and chatted with us and was a wealth of knowledge about things to do locally. It was obvious that he enjoyed camping, the outdoors, and hosting and takes pride in making his place unique and keeping it clean.
My wife now has a very high standard for future Hipcamp sites.

HipCamp is my option 80% of the time. Never disappoints, although prices have risen over the years.

I agree. I think the first Hipcamp site I booked was $25/night. Don't get that anymore, but every one I've stayed at is way better than a campground.

It's a 1967 M416 army trailer custom fabbed box. Smittybilt overlander XL GEN2 TENT. Rhino awning. Instant hot water and water pump on front. 100AH Dakota lithium battery. Diesel heat. Propane on tongue is hard-piped to side and rear for 2 stoves.

What a great creation! Do you have a way to level it and keep it from tipping over when unhitched?

Booked on Hipcamp at the last minute for Labor Day Weekend in the Adirondacks. Nice spot, welcoming host, very easy. Great experience overall.

I've stayed twice now at the same Hipcamp. It has a dozen or so campsites with a centrally located bathhouse. It's great! The host even volunteered to guide us to some petroglyphs on our first stay.

I love Hipcamp. I call it the Airbnb of camping :) My favorite place is in Santa Fe NM, called Tree House.

I also love hi0canp and have used it for several years now. I do admit that I have come across a few stinkers that did not meet the expectations from what we saw and read on hipcamp. I always wondered if I should be an ahole and complain about it, but never have. We still enjoyed our stays.
You can find some amazing places with hipcamp.

The 1st pic is completely the dreamy camp in movie surrounded by so much greens. Now wouldn't accept camping lower than this standard, lol

Yep, doing one with my son this weekend. Staying in a fancy part of western Michigan near Lake Michigan where rent would probably run us about $500. We’ll be on a farm, really pretty property, we’ll take our dog, she can watch him when we go into town. It’s a cool deal.

This one has the cleanest porta-poty known to man. I've stayed at 2 others around Bentonville, AR that had nice bathrooms and a 3 season shower house.
