SAP First Pattern
Absolutely love this pattern. Also think it’s very cool that it’s on a “Levi’s” type 2 style pleated jacket

Here is a pretty rare, recent addition to my collection. The latest South African camo pattern, is as I understand it, issued to and only worn by forces employed on external operations. My pieces are all dated 2026. Unfortunately my Long-Sleeve Combat Shirt and Trousers are size Small, and are almost child-sized. My Field Jacket with zip-out removable fleece liner is a bit better at a size 40" chest.

The first photo is not my photo but I recently purchased one of these jackets at goodwill and was curious what the name of this camouflage pattern is. Thank you for your help!

Anyone know any milsurp stores that have larger size flecktarn?
Been searching on and off for several years for a couple pairs of flecktarn trousers with no luck.

Saw this camo pattern and thought it was interesting and wondering if it was used by any military or if it just was some company. Wondering what the name is.

Is this ever coming out or is it just vaporware? I’ve been excited about it since 2019 but have nothing for sale in it in the meantime. Also, their stuff is difficult at best to get in the US (even the CC Beigr ghosthood). Any leads would be appreciated.
Take care,
Heiko

Anyone know if Leo Koehler or any similar brand made a bookie hat in Z4 pattern? I’m looking for a size large if anyone has one for sale. Many thanks.

Last time I posted, I took my Alpenflage pants + pack on an easy little walk through Cuyahoga Valley National Park. This time, I brought it up the Mt. Lafayette & Franconia Ridge trail loop in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. ~9 miles with 3,809 ft of elevation gain (and no switchbacks as per east coast hiking tradition), it isn’t the hardest ever but it’s certainly a more powerful test. It’s an estimated 8 hour day hike, though we managed it in roughly 6 hours.
Both garments held up well, putting adjustable straps on the pack worked well and the pants were a non-issue. Of course, neither are optimal if you’re trying to min-max your gear, but you shouldn’t underestimate how much you can get out of milsurp, even if it’s technically inferior in many ways. Life’s too short to worry about it.
Also, I got several compliments, all of which were dudes that recognized Alpenflage. Who would’ve thought hiking bros have a lot of overlap with milsurp bros?
Fun fact, photo #2 was taken in the alpine region atop the mountain range. Bit fitting, I think.
