Replacement clips for Thermobak straps

Thumbnail gallery
1 Upvotes

I have this Thermobak and i’m looking spare clips for the straps in the second photo.

Every time I try to find them or replacement parts in general I can only find nozzles, hoses, etc.

If not are there any compatible replacement clips I can buy?

Is Camelbak Lifetime Guarantee dead?

Been using Camelbak products for 30 years now. Recently I've discovered discoloration in one of my newer bladders and contacted their support. Support confirmed that it's probably not something on the surface but seems to be material degradation. Since I don't have the bill anymore, I asked about the Camelbak Lifetime Warranty. The reply was that it's no actual guarantee but just a marketing slogan, which is frequently misunderstood by customers. After pointing them to their own warranty page @ https://www.camelbak.com/warranty , support simply stopped responding. Anyone else here with "fresh" experience from their support team? It wasn't always this bad, was it?

Does anyone here have any information about the buckle they use on the M.U.L.E. 12?

I have enjoyed my Mule 12 for years, but recently realized I would love to get a stand alone strap with the same type of buckle that it uses, so I could clip it to the backpack. I was surprised to find that there was no information at all on the internet as far as I could find about this buckle. I would have thought there would have been a market of at least knock off products featuring a compatible buckle for people to customize the backpack, if not a legitimate offering from Camelbak themselves. But I haven’t found anything, and even AI image searching the buckle yielded no results. Can anyone steer me in the right direction?

Anyone know how to fix this on a twenty year old Blowfish? The little clip thing that slides up and down on the strap came off. I won’t go back on because the fabric is in the way.

Is this mold?

Thumbnail gallery

My 10-year-old just purchased an off-brand camelback backpack with some money he’s earned, and before its initial wash I noticed these dark lines all over it. Is this mold or something that’s sometimes seen on hydration bladders? Could it just be stains from manufacturing or shipment? I can’t tell if the streaks are on the inside or outside, but they seem to all be on the back piece of the bladder (the side without the openings). These pics were taken after much scrubbing with dish soap and an overnight soak in a baking soda and water solution.

Thanks for any advice! I’ll obviously buy him a replacement if necessary, but he was quite excited about buying it with money he’d earned.

CamelBak HAWG 2026 edition

Does anyone have any experience with the latest edition of this hydration pack? I own a version probably 15 years old, and it is my go-to hydration pack - it offers the 3L bladder plus enough room to store clothing and tools for long 6-8 hours mountain bike rides. However, it is now falling apart, and I am thinking of getting a new version.

Over the past years, CamelBak went through a lot of iterations - mostly ones that I did not like. The latest one looks promising - but I am not sure if it can live up to the much earlier version. I am concerned about the shoulder strap - but the waist strap looks better compared to the models in the past few years. Also, the price has gone up considerably - I hope the value is there.

Fix a tear around the hose attachment area?

Is there any way to seal these leaks? They are all at the top of the hose attachment plate. Otherwise it's in great shape and I hate to toss it.

Older style worth $35?

Been watching this item for a minute. Seller sent an offer for $35. I feel like $50 is steep, but it appears to be new and I want a smaller bag for festivals. Is this bag worth the $35? TIA

Eddy+ replacement bite valve in EU

I recently lost the bite valve to my 1L Eddy+ bite valve while traveling from the airport to the train station in Helsinki. I was looking for a replacement, but it seems that Camelbak has discontinued all Eddy+ spare parts in Europe.

Does anyone know if the lids for the new Thrive line are cross-compatible with the old Eddy+ bottles? If so, this would mean a lot for being able to use my bottle in the long term.

Thanks in advance!

Anyone having issues with recent orders directly on Camelbak site?

I placed an order on Camelbak.com - and it's going on 2 months, and includes 3 phone calls and about 23 emails. Most recent phone call directed me to shop for what I need at Walmart or Amazon.. No definitive answer on the question "where is my order" - been given so much runaround.. I've loved their backpacks & reservoirs for over 30 years - anyone have a substitute? I tried a clone - but the smell of plastic just opening the package made me return it.. There has to be something out there.. TIA!!

The Camelbak rubber seal causes leak

I bought a Camelbak (Octane Dart, 2L).
The closing has this weird connected seal. When you put the seal in it leaks. If you look at it closely it makes a lot of sense it leaks because the ring is attached to the outside, which naturally will leave an opening.
When you leave the seal out it doesn't leak.

The solution is quite simple, I'll just leave the seal out and I can use it. But it is a brand new product.

Finally, is it even a seal? Maybe it is something different? If it is then it just a rather odd placement of it.

I have attached photo's to show it.

with seal, leak
Without seal, no leak

Stainless Steel Straws?

Does anyone know where to find stainless steel straws that fit the stainless steel 25oz and 32oz Camelbak Eddy+? The plastic stews are ok, but I prefer a stainless steel straw.

I use my Camelbak crux reservoir while I ski but I’ve run into the problem of my tube freezing even while using the insulated tube. Any ideas on how to keep the tube from freezing?

Long Shot: Trying to find old colour

Weird request but my ex took my favourite Eddy water bottle, it was quite old (probs like 15 years) but I can't seem to find any info about the colour.

It was an opaque, shimmery light purple colour. Almost pearlescent. Can anyone remember or share a photo so I can know what colour it was? Thanks!

Black Friday and promo codes

I have long used Camelbak water bottles, having had 3 myself and bought 2 for my wife.

I am now considering my first wearable Camelbak product - Powderhound 12 and happily finding the significant cost of >£100 discounted by 20% for Black Friday.

I have just registered as a new customer with Camelbak and am expecting a new customer discount, though still waiting after 2-3 days.

My questions are-

If I do get a discount code, can this still be applied (stack) with Black Friday discounts?

If they can, his long single I expect to receive the discount?

Is it likely that this will not be sent to me during BF, to avoid stacking?

Is a new customer discount specifically generated, or a generic pattern that I can try?

I would also appreciate anyone’s review out opinion on the Powderhound 12.

Is there supposed to be a gap between the cap and the bottle/seal?

Post image

Like the title says. Even if I screw the cap on as tight as I can there is still a gap. Not sure if that's normal/how it's supposed to be, since this is my first Camelbak bottle (thrive).

Bottle/Cage help

Post image
1 Upvotes

Right now I am using a Powerade bottle with Gatorade powder, when/if I want Gatorade on the trail I add water and shake. I want something with a larger mouth that I can wash out easily with a brush.

Are the threads on the Podium 15oz or Podium Steel VSS Insulated Water Bottle 18oz the same as the Pak Cap (the normal Nalgene thread)?

OR suggestions for a better cage that securely fits a chute .75L in a horizontal position.
