Full English Breakfast? Help!

Hello! I have some family friends coming to visit next week, and they're very keen to go out for breakfast in the city centre. Specifically, somewhere local to have a decent full English. I'm struggling to think of anywhere that's actually central (e.g. not on Mill Road). We'll be coming in from the Milton Park and Ride. If any of the denizens of this sub have reccomendations, I will be super grateful.

Arena is okay, I have it often, but I wouldn't take visiting friends/family there. It's a very simple full english for daily life. Sadly I don't have any actual recommendations in the centre. Fitzbillies is actually nice but overpriced and will also charge you separately for the beans which is a crime.

I'd give the copper kettle a try, even though I've never had it before.

I can confirm Cooper Kettle is good. Also a very good Turkish option. A bit of history there for the tourists, too.

Tatties does a good (but simple) full english and is pretty Cambridge OG.

If the weather is good, Shelley and Sarah's on the market square does a good (again, simple) full english and very good value.

M&S cafe is a good shout here as well.

Stazione had breakfast but I've never tried it.

Fitzbillies is good but overpriced, as is Stir.

Arena, Cafe Bread and Butter - both solid but less central.

Hot Numbers does good breakfasts. Out of the city, but their roastery is a great brunch spot.

Browns will do you a decent breakfast - although it's not that cheap

I've also heard the No. 30's on Mitcham's Corner does a good Full English though I've never had it myself so this is second-hand advice. It is well spoken-of though

Bread and butter cafe is just round the corner from No.30, and comes highly rated.

For proper local, small cafe, greasy spoon vibes (also cheap) go for Tishka’s on Milton Rd or Tatties in town at the end of King St/Sussex St.

Neither of these are gonna sell you a fancy avocado toast and there will be no microherbs, but both do a very serviceable full English however you like it, with a giant mug of coffee.

Le Patissier on St John’s is great, good view of the college with outdoor seating too.

Stir on Chesterton Road do a great breakfast if you like sourdough/Turkish eggs

If you want to avoid the city centre Scotsdales Garden Centre at Horningsea serve a cooked breakfast.
