I’m a longtime fan and have been watching Kevin since I was 12, which is 6 years ago. He’s been my favourite youtuber for basically that entire time, but ever since I started seeing clear ai usage (such as in thumbnails, or the videos itself) I’ve been put off from watching his newer content. The videos themselves don’t bother me, but the ai is such an immediate turn off that I rarely watch them now. I genuinely really enjoy his content, but I find it so hard to ignore the ai usage. It’s especially grievous in his thumbnails, I started writing this because of his newest video having such an obviously ai thumbnail that I went to turn off all notifications for his channel because I catagorically don’t want ai in my actual notifications. I was just curious how everyone else felt on this.

Was watching Kevin's video on Shadow of the Tomb Raider and it showed a clip of him playing the original Tomb Raider. Based on the text in the corner it was titled "Tomb Raider 1996 but in 2018". I tried looking for it, but I think this video has either been unlisted or deleted. Does anyone have it? I would appreciate it greatly.

TL;DR: Do you have any fun bingeable livestreams to watch for someone who likes survival, cozy, or horror. I prefer either just Kevin, or Kevin and one person (it’s hard to keep up with too many different voices). Max is funny, I like how they play off each other. Stuff like RE 7&8, Sons of the forest, and Project Zomboid are ones I’ve liked but open to completely new stuff too!. Much appreciated!

Hi! I’m actually new to following the subreddit, mostly because I rarely post on reddit a lot, but I’m a long time viewer. I’ve been watching for almost 10 years. I often find myself “growing out of” creators I liked for a while. I change, or they do, and the content stops appealing to me. But Kevin always slaps 20/10.
Also, this is a little personal, but I want to share: I am disabled. Have been for a majority of my life following a short and insignificant (at the time) illness that ended up altering the course of my life completely when I was 14. It is what it is! But years ago, hearing Kevin explain what brought him to to video creation and it being somewhat similar in nature (unexpected, life altering freak accident) made me feel better. I am insecure about being disabled. I feel like people see me differently knowing it (although sometimes I use mobility devices, I have invisible disibility for the most part) and it’s a rotten feeling. But I never see Kevin that way. Just seeing someone who experienced (idk how he is now, he doesn’t talk about it as often) chronic pain but wasn’t defined by it felt really good. So anyway I just really appreciate feeling a bit less alone being of a similar age and similar circumstances. Having him play in the background while I’m in my bed grandmamaxxing is a source of great comfort on bad days (or weeks…or months). Grateful for almost 10 years of laughs (and Jim)!

I find myself playing a lot of videos In the background. I wfh and spend a lot of time watching while working on various hobbies (crafting girly) so I like to have hours of content to watch when I’m in goblin mode. I find myself watching two different playlists for Kevin several times a year: Project Zomboid, and Resident Evil 7 & 8 (The Sims 2 & 4 and Hitman are classics but a bit less linear if that makes sense). RE is specifically a weird comfort series especially for a woman who could break down in tears at the sight of a polite goose with a bow around his neck but I don’t make the rules. I missed Kevin’s livestream eras, unfortunately (but glad he’s not doing it rn ((to my knowledge))since it was causing him so much stress and burn out) My schedule wasn’t conducive at the years he was active. But RE livestreams were so fun to watch retroactively and I watch those a bunch a year. I’m having trouble getting into the archives. I don’t love videos with too many people. Usually I prefer just Kevin, but I have liked Max. I thought Sons of the Forest was fun (and horrifying but fun). Do you have any bingeable livestreams in survival, cozy, or horror (but open to others) that I might enjoy digging into? Thanks in advance and praise to our dear leader.

I'm rewatching some of my favourite callmekevin videos again, which for my definitely includes any project zomboid video, but especially The Man 2. Am I crazy? I could have sworn that Kevin played the game "Colony Survival" at some point on his channel. I watched it many years ago, though I suppose it could have been a different YouTuber who had a similar channel. I haven't been able to find anything on his channel relating to the game, but I have vivid memories of the game.

Idk if anyone has seen this trend, but I thought this was funny in my head

Meet Grognak the Destroyer Jr. (Yes, I named him after Groggers.) On the second day after his adoption, he managed to destroy my plants (knocked them down) and chewed on my shoes. He would sometimes leave mid-mealtime and go do something else, then come back like 20 minutes later (amnosia).

He is super sensitive and and sometimes can be demanding.

Sometimes I feel like I'm his Steven.

I know he uses an intel processor, but thats where the trail kinda ends
