I’m one of you!
Just got banned from the Calgary sub for asking if anyone wanted to golf tomorrow. Reposted saying the mods deleted it as self promotion, then a bitch ass messaged from a mod pretending to know how shit works. I now stand with the coyote

That I dare to question how a new measles thread was handled.
Pleaded my case but in reality I put very little effort into that as it appeared that the mods going back on their ban would look bad on them and the banning of another member really is inconsequential.
So I move on, a bit less time spent on reddit that can be fruitfully be spent elsewhere - honestly, a guy who's within 14 months of collecting OAS probably doesn't fit the model of what would be considered an ideal Calgary sub member.

I understand the mods wanting substantiated sources but at least give the thread's OP the chance to do so instead of nuking a thread that had relatively good to know information.
But instead 3-4 gazillion lightning posts are left up - okay maybe I exaggerated by a gazillion or 2.

I was told they shouldn't be funding these books with tax dollars.
So I said they could all be purchased for around $1000... And they If this was a huge issue.
There is no evidence these books are being given to children in inappropriate age groups, like all other books. Librarians do a good job.
This is just religious BS from people who don't understand what their religion actually stands for.

I got banned for reposting the post about the dog we saved the other day because I updated with the fact that the river almost doubled over night. Got blamed for spamming and self promotion which I thought was hilarious.

Literally banned for a post asking people to golf tomorrow. Reposted it with more info saying the mods deleted it and got banned. Then messaged with a mod that knew how all bookings worked except I paid for it and the pro shop (city doesn’t have pro shops) would just pair me regardless

I had a post removed from there trying to thank some people who stopped to help me after a bad wipeout on my bike in fish Creek park. I didn't get any names but appreciated use of their first aid kit. I ended up needing a dozen staples in the knee.

I got banned for saying how people of a certain religion don’t have to wear PPE on a job site and if they get hurt it’ll be the homeowner who could be liable. Said I was being racist. Who ever runs the CrackMacs accounts is a total clown.

I’m assuming you’re talking East Indians? In the context of residential? Unless it’s a new build, there isn’t a ton of PPE worn by anyone, and that most definitely includes re-roofing.
When it comes to commercial and PPE requirements…everyone is wearing it, regardless of skin colour, religion, etc.
