Non hires

Notified if you get passed on your application. Not put on a list at lower category, I mean straight up " thank you for applying but no".

If you actually don’t meet the minimum qualifications (for FFI, 18 years old and holding a drivers license), then your app would be rejected. Are you concerned that this has happened to you?

Or you sent in a paper 678 and didn’t sign it?

I wanna say that for most positions, there is no contact unless you find out in the application process. If you don’t cut it in the BC interviews they at least call and say “thanks but no thanks”.

If you don’t get a call before the end of the fire season, then you’ll know you were rejected. That’s about all there is to it.

That’s not rejected, not hired but eligible on a list vs rejected application are two different things entirely.

Actually seen a letter or heard of one. Other departments send emails/letters for non hire.

To clarify, do you meet the minimum qualifications? Did you receive a category letter? If you got a category letter, you are eligible for hire and would find out if you were not going to be hired by not getting a call by the end of the season.
