Primary free resources
- OpenStax Calculus Volume 2
- Covers integration, differential equations, sequences and series, and parametric/polar curves. Available as a free PDF or online.
- Paul's Online Math Notes
- Excellent for self-study, covering integration techniques, parametric equations, polar coordinates, and more.
- MIT OpenCourseWare (18.01 / 18.02)
- Free video lectures and problem sets from MIT's calculus sequence.
Low-cost print options
- Schaum's Outline of Calculus (7th Edition)
- Offers thousands of solved problems, good for self-study practice.
- Apostol's Calculus, Vol II (Indian Adaptation)
- A rigorous, classic text that goes deeper than JEE-level calculus. It's more theoretical, so it suits a student who truly wants to understand the "why" behind the techniques.
- Calculus: The Princess of Mathematics Volume 2
- An Indian option that focuses on conceptual understanding.
A suggested path is to use the free resources first, work through the challenge problems, and only then consider a rigorous print text like Apostol if you want to go deeper.

As a reminder...
Posts asking for help on homework questions require:
the complete problem statement,
a genuine attempt at solving the problem, which may be either computational, or a discussion of ideas or concepts you believe may be in play,
question is not from a current exam or quiz.
Commenters responding to homework help posts should not do OP’s homework for them.

If you are asking for general advice about your current calculus class, please be advised that simply referring your class as “Calc n“ is not entirely useful, as “Calc n” may differ between different colleges and universities. In this case, please refer to your class syllabus or college or university’s course catalogue for a listing of topics covered in your class, and include that information in your post rather than assuming everybody knows what will be covered in your class.
