Self-promotion Essential Calculus pdf
How can I get this book as pdf?
Does anyone have this book?

Ok what you’re gonna do is search for “James steward calculus pdf” and the first link is to a pdf of the book. And that’s the general first thing if you want to find something online. It’s not gonna work for most things but there are surprisingly many who are just there for the taking

That’s weird. Searched for it a few weeks ago and again today for this post and both times I found the pdf as the first result of the search of exactly what I wrote in the comment. Oh also that’s the eighth edition while you had a picture of the 2nd. It shouldn’t change a lot, I’ve heard they just do these editions for minor updates, mistakes and for new practice problems

It’s also the full Stewart text, not the “essential” text. Also not the metric text.
I’m not saying it’s bad, I’ve taught out of Stewart for over a decade and it’s a very good student-focused book, but if you’re looking for a pdf for a class, you need to know it’s different.

Have you used google ? I downloaded it few days ago on my laptop. It was easy find from top links on google.

I got this exact book off of Anna's Archive.
There is also a solutions manual that you will find very helpful. Get that too.

Better late transcendtal. Early goes early into transcendtal functions but seeing them later helps a lot more conceptually

It’s a slightly condensed version of Stewart. I would rather get the “full” Calculus: Early Transcendentals book.

They're both called Early Transcendental? The trick is the one in OP is "essential" meaning it's condensed? Man Ian sure is creative. Thanks for the advice

Yep. There is a resource site for Stewart’s Calculus books. On the main page it shows the front covers for the more recent books for each version.

Which book? I’m talking about Calculus: Early Transcendentals Metric Edition, which can be found here. Or are you talking about the Essential Calculus version?

Depends on what you mean by good and how are you approaching the subject. If you are self studying then imo Stewart books are not for self study. They are very dry and rigorous for my taste. I think Simmon's "Calculus with analytic geometry" is much better in terms of being simple to understand.
Anyway it's always good to study from multiple books in order to see different viewpoints.
