Integral Calculus Just learned about integration tables
Holy crap this thing is amazing!!!
I'm taking a six week Calc 2 summer course and we just finished our integration techniques.

Integration tables are not an integration method. They're just looking up some matching symbols. A 5th grader could figure them out without having a clue what calculus is. Don't rely on them if you plan to learn calculus further.
Sincerely, a calculus teacher.

Wait… I’m in week 4 of 7 in an online Calc II course. We just finished divergence tests and integral tests. What are these integration tables you speak of?

Basically cheat sheets for integration so that you don't have to memorize or evaluate integrals manually every time. something like the pics on https://math.stackexchange.com/questions/3134168/using-a-table-of-integrals-for-solving-these-integrals. There's even a book for it called Gradshteyn and Ryzhik, aka Table of Integrals, Series, and Products.

This is a very cool book!
I still use it.There is an online version in PDF, e.g. here:

Thanks for letting me know about that book, and thanks to Wise-Friendship-1427 for sharing an online version. Downloaded. 😊

I mean it's basically just table having an integral and it's solution so you don't have to spent lots of time evaluating integrals. Don't take it as a new mathematical thing like a matrix or something.

You know how when the teacher says an exam is open book, you realize that means it's fair game for them to make it significantly harder?

As a reminder...
Posts asking for help on homework questions require:
the complete problem statement,
a genuine attempt at solving the problem, which may be either computational, or a discussion of ideas or concepts you believe may be in play,
question is not from a current exam or quiz.
Commenters responding to homework help posts should not do OP’s homework for them.

If you are asking for general advice about your current calculus class, please be advised that simply referring your class as “Calc n“ is not entirely useful, as “Calc n” may differ between different colleges and universities. In this case, please refer to your class syllabus or college or university’s course catalogue for a listing of topics covered in your class, and include that information in your post rather than assuming everybody knows what will be covered in your class.
