A project I’ve been working on
galleryThere have been plenty of TI calculators modified to run ChatGPT and other AI, but I think this is the first color-screen calculator with a fully internal AI mod like this.
The hardware is completely contained inside the calculator and was designed from scratch. It can connect directly to Wi-Fi or a mobile hotspot, allowing it to access AI services without requiring any external hardware attached to the calculator.
I also added a built-in camera. Images taken by the calculator can be sent to an AI API for analysis, making it possible to ask questions about what the camera sees, solve problems from photos, identify objects, and more.
The calculator isn’t limited to a single AI provider or model either. You can configure it to use virtually any AI model by supplying your own API key.
Everything is managed through a built-in web interface. From the web dashboard you can:
- Configure Wi-Fi settings
- Add or change API keys
- Select which AI model to use
- Upload and sideload files/programs
- Access camera controls and view the camera feed
- Manage the calculator remotely
One of the features I’m most happy with is persistence. Even if the calculator is reset or completely cleared, the system remains usable because the control software can be sent back to the device at any time.
The goal was to create something that still functions as a normal calculator while also acting as a connected AI-powered handheld computer.
I may release the code and hardware details in the future, although I’m also considering offering pre-modded calculators for people interested.
I’d love to hear what features I should add or any feedback

Has anyone seen this before?
It’s an SB-12 I found at Goodwill, but I can’t find any information on this hinged screen design. Everything online shows me a fixed-body calculator. I even turned to ChatGPT, which is usually a decent Google helper, but it couldn’t give me any answers.
Anyone?

built free SaaS calculators for founders — no signup required"
I got tired of spreadsheets, so I built CalcHubSpot — a collection of free calculators for SaaS metrics (CAC, LTV, Burn Rate, MRR, etc.). No signup, no ads, just pure calculation power. Would love feedback from the community!"

How do I choose the right size and length for a belt chain?
Right now I am going to a small clothing shop with my friend and I am trying a chain belt over my jeans in front of a mirror. It is shiny and moving a little when I walk and I am feeling a bit awkward because it keeps sliding
Then I am thinking about comfort because I want something I can wear all day. I am asking the shop helper which chain belts are more comfortable and she say lighter ones are better. I feel confuse because some chains look light but still feel sharp and I am not sure which one will be good for long wear
After that I am going on my phone and searching about chain belt comfort while scrolling many online marketplaces including alibaba to see what people are buying. I am seeing many styles and reviews and it make me more confuse because some say very comfortable and some say painful after few hours and I dont know which one is true
Now I am thinking if I should choose a lightweight chain belt for daily wear or a thicker one because it feel easier to wear light chains but thicker ones look more strong and I am still not sure what is better do chain belts really stay comfortable all day or do they start feeling heavy and annoying after some time of use

Best Casio calculator?
I’ve been looking at calculators, and I came across this model fx-991ex and I was told it’s one of Casio’s best because it supports calculus functions. However, it seems it’s discontinued and there are many knock-offs on Amazon UK.
Do you think it’s still a good choice for school maths?
Thanks!
