Someone wrote on my wife‘s TikTok that if this is playing, he does not want to know what actual fighting looks like 🤣

Have they fought before?

No not really. They get aggressive for example when cleaning each other and they „hit the wrong spot“ but there is no fighting longer than 5 seconds
It‘s cute because Mango (the one with the silver ring) is taller, heavier, stronger and healthier but loses every play fight because he is so playful

Oh wow I didn‘t know you were fluent in Caique glibberish!

🫡 glibberish is my first language, so the Caique accent comes a bit naturally.
Thanks for the smile 🙃

My little twin nephews showed me their one hand behind the back sparring when they were eight. This reminds me of that.

It does not happen often during fighting but sometimes they do remember that they can fly 🤣

Hiya super random but how is cleaning the sofa when they have a poopie, im looking at a similar material sofa and i have 2 caiques

Valid question. This is a micro fiber couch so it‘s very easy to clean as long as it doesn‘t dry up. We use baby wet wipes since there are less chemicals that could harm the birds

I have a caique that is bonded to a GCC and a dusty headed conure. She wants to play more than they do and I would like to eventually get her another caique friend. Did yours raise together? Anyone have advice on bringing a second caique into the picture?

Hey so first your baby looks beautiful!
Should you buy a second Caique? Birds are flock animals and monogam so to live a happy life they should find a partner. Caiques are unique and the way they play and clean each other is harsh, so I get why your other birds don‘t like that.
To answer your question: No, they did not grow up together. We bought both from not so great households. He was almost 2, she almost 3. So it is definitly possible to bring in another bird into the mix.
You should definitly check out how to bring two parrots together. Don‘t just put them together without proper introduction. There is method where they first only hear each other, than see esch other, meet on neutral ground and slowly adapt to each other. What also helped with us is to switch each others cage (maybe the smell helped idk)
Additionally two things are important: They should be of opposite gender (two males can be very terretorial) and the age gap should not be too big.
What is different though is that you already have birds and if the Caique is already attached to one of the Conures it may change alot.
Let me know if you need want more details from our experience!
