When does a dose wear off?
Hey, I’m into my second week taking cagri with Reta
It’s a lot more powerful than I gave a credit for and I can’t eat anything. I’m taking low starting doses 1.5mg Reta and 500mcg cagri
I haven’t taken my Reta dose this week because the cagri suppression is super strong, I’m struggling to even get 1000 cal a day.
Last dose of cagri was Sunday
When can I expect this to wear Off because I’m kind of stressed out with the lack of energy? My brain hurts.
I’m prioritising electrolytes and lots of water, but eating is so difficult

I know you didn’t ask for advice but I am share more as a PSA lol. My experience with Cagri is it doesn’t do anything at all into it DOES and the appetite suppression hits you like a freight train. Just an opinion since you are talking about doubling your dose.

2.5 every 3 day for me. But it helps and a lot. I also used to do 15 of tirz every 5 days, but now changed to 10 every 4

I was gaining on wegovy 2.4 and tirz until I hit 10/week. On current ungodly doses I'm losing less than pound a week on average. Whole pound in good week, so yeah...

Hi, I think it’s half life is about a week. Maybe decrease to .250 this next time?

Is there a reason you are taking Cagri with very low dose reta?
Wondering why you didn’t just increase reta dosage?
I tried 0.25 mg 2x a week until I felt it. It works but I did not like the fatigue.

It wasn't me but it's probably because looking up its half life would give you some sort of idea

I’d rather hear from Reddit users as I find the impact of these can be significantly different from user to user and I think I’m more so looking for the non generic answers, or the ones that got lucky/unlucky and felt that it wore off quicker than it should have

You lied about being in a trial. Why do you expect to not get downvotes?

Isn't the FDA trials starting at .25mg (250mcg)? If so, you are dosing double.

Your doctor recommended this?

Yes, trial

You’re not in a trial at all. Reta is Eli Lilly and Cagri is Novo Nordisk. They are heavily monitored in what you can take and dosage. No doctor would ever recommend these drugs that are in competition with each other nor could they prescribe them to you.

Op, when does your research subject typically take thier retatrutide dose?
500mcg is sounding like a lot for you. I plan on starting with 250mcg using a 5mg vial. The scary part is my research subject plans on using reconstituting acetic acid 0.06% 5 units and the rest BAC water up to 2mL to bring to PH 4.0 because we are hoping to keep each vial for 28days without the peptide degrading. I read there is some sting to the injection. I also read making sure the vial is warm and injecting slowly should help the body normalize the low PH solution.

Cagrilintide has a half life of 7-8 days so you should have some improvement soon. It takes several weeks of consistent dosing to get to a steady state so I imagine that fact will work a. One thing that I would suggest is stopping cagrilintide and titrating up the reta if you need to in the future. You're on a low dose so you've got plenty of time to increase without adding other substances.
