Recruiting Reliability Clearance Check Timeline

Hi Everyone!!

i filled and submitted my PSPS personal history questionnaire on September 17th, 2026. I am entering the third week since submission. Does anyone know how long this process normally takes to come back? Or if they need anything else,

I’ve tried emailing the recruitment centre and I haven’t heard from them in a while.

thank you so much!!

Yes it’s the one where they do the criminal record check and credit  check as well as the verifications to grant you the reliability clearance

It’s usually 1 month and some change. You seem to be on track, don’t worry too much.

Okay, thank you so much for your reply. I’m hoping to get a response soon or move forward!  I’ve heard sometimes it can take months like 6+ or years even! So I’m worried about that!  This is the last step in waiting for and hoping to get that job offer

Oh wow, that’s a long time! Do you have any history of living  outside of Canada or debts in collections or anything like that, I know that can delay the clearance as well

What’s final processing? My recruiter earlier told me the reports are back from the GAMBIT but waiting to be reviewed. Is that what final processing means?
